Patience ... :)

I'm 44 and I'm really starting to wonder if I will ever get to see another Sweet 16. I'm not even asking for a Final Four or national championship. Just get out of the first weekend for once. Making it to that second week of games is a blast.

Is winning just TWO games in the NCAA Tournament so much to ask? Seems so.

Don't know about the sweet 16 but the mid to late 50s were a pretty good time to be a Hawk. Two Final Fours and one of the best football teams in America with 2 Rose Bowl victories.

Luckily I was in Phoenix to see that Uconn game for spring break my Jr year in IC. If I was told it would have been another 20 years I probably would have drank less so I could remember better but still a great memory. They played pretty well, too....uconn just too much

I was a sophomore at the Field House with friends watching Ronnie light it up in 79-80 and hanging out with Bobby Hansen, Rich Gannon and Kevin Boyle between games. Ah yes. The 80's. Those were heady times to be a Hawkeye watching Iowa winning bigly in basketball and football.. We won so much I actually got tired of all the winning. It can happen!! ;)
