Exactly, give the defense one more thing to account for.No way he comes here if Brian is the OC. Mobility at the QB position is going to be part of a Tim Lester offense. Not necessarily to run, but to create space and put the defense at risk.

What sticks out to me is that he looks confident in games.2 of the 3 TDs he threw in the x highlight video were going against Iowa’s D. safe to say that sullivan is on his way to looking really good in practice.
i also like that but the most confident iowa qb over the last 8 years was deacon. dude wasn’t hesitant while throwing any of those INTsWhat sticks out to me is that he looks confident in games.
I am hoping that this is exactly what our current roster needed to start turning the page from the last few years. Have no idea what this means in terms of schollies.
From what I’m hearing NIL will pay for extra scholarship costs! So they should be fine! With the addition of Brendan Sullivan, Iowa has 88 on scholarship; they need to get to 85.
Please expand, not sure what it means. TIAFrom what I’m hearing NIL will pay for extra scholarship costs! So they should be fine!
Me too! Props to the head Hawkeye for seemingly giving OC some rank. This is absolutely fantastic!
Everything Lester has done so far has impressed me beyond what I was hoping for.
I feel very confident that we will not recognize our offense this fall, in a good way.
Removing 3 players from scholarship to get to 85 while having NIL match what they were getting from their scholarship money? Not 100% sure either. Please expand, not sure what it means. TIA
Yeah ,sad no more Booty GIFs
i know this is a thread about BS, but my god, looking at those DH numbers again is just mind blowing. When you “add” in his -114 yards on 50 rushing attempts, and take into account the fact that hardly any of those were designed runs, the Iowa offense basically averaged 3.4 yards each time the play was designed for DH to throw the ball. By comparison, the offense averaged 3.3 yards per carry running the ball all last season. And if you take those -114 yards and 50 carries off the team rushing ledger, the season team average grows to 3.9 ypc. 3.4 yards passing vs. 3.9 yards rushing. Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s never been seen before, at least not at a Power 5 program. Hope to god I never see it again. And compare the completion percentage:
Brendan Sullivan:

Not sure what CM is thinking right now, but I hardly think he should be feeling "snubbed" at any time. Iowa had extremely high hopes for him when he came in to lead the offense, but truth be told, the only thing he's "proven" since arriving on campus is that he is an ok QB who can't take more than 3 steps without hurting himself. If he develops a crappy attitude because Iowa brought in a QB who might actually compete with him for playing time, then I'm not sure he's right for us to begin with. That said, I hope CM looks like he's in '21 midseason form all year long and the addition of BS is moot (for '24, anyway).I am not too muchof a gambler, but I would put money on the bet that Deacon will NOT be coming back to iowa.
on a more serious thought, it looks like we could have right away a "quarterback situation." I think it really should be open competition, but McNamara could endup feeling snubbed.
Neither does he, because NIL can't "pay for scholarships".....Please expand, not sure what it means. TIA
"QB extended the play" is a phrase that hasn't been heard at Iowa since CJB. How long is that, 8+ years?
These women aren’t real, are they?Yeah ,sad no more Booty GIFs![]()
But a player can agree to get NIL money and use it to pay for their schooling so they do not need to be on scholarship, is what I think can take place.Neither does he, because NIL can't "pay for scholarships".....
Nate did at least a few times, but it has certainly been rare since CJ."QB extended the play" is a phrase that hasn't been heard at Iowa since CJB. How long is that, 8+ years?
Yeah if anything a competitor welcomes competition and I think he is a competitor. Not sure what CM is thinking right now, but I hardly think he should be feeling "snubbed" at any time. LOL at starting another thread on this. Seek help.
This is it!But a player can agree to get NIL money and use it to pay for their schooling so they do not need to be on scholarship, is what I think can take place.
This. Seems to be the type of athlete at QB Iowa will be targeting moving forward. No way he comes here if Brian is the OC. Mobility at the QB position is going to be part of a Tim Lester offense. Not necessarily to run, but to create space and put the defense at risk.
Do think that theres a chance(gulp) that Lester puts in packages for Sullivan to run that utilizes his legs? Not sure what CM is thinking right now, but I hardly think he should be feeling "snubbed" at any time. Was just thinking that too. He is going to see some plays even if CM is still the starter.Do think that theres a chance(gulp) that Lester puts in packages for Sullivan to run that utilizes his legs?
