I was in Tampa. I made it back to Kewanee around 5 pm today. My uncle’s house is ok. There is a decent sized tree down across the street

I wonder if the frequency of these wind events will result in new construction in Iowa borrowing from what you all do in FL to protect from hurricane winds. Then again, it seems like most problems - other than utter devastation caused by big tornados- are caused by downed trees. Not sure what anyone can really do about that, other than cut down big trees near houses.

Insurers are already leaving Iowa due to the increased frequency and costs of weather events. The market seems to be attempting to regulate things.
