I'm staying even on this because Lester hasn't recruited a QB besides Sullivan but we know he won't be allowed to start this season because Kirk. QB recruiting and evaluation needs an overhaul.
Media needs to hold him accountable if Sullivan doesn’t get meaningful snaps.

No Team in America would not have demoted Cade by now, Kirk would rather destroy an entire Teams season than to admit He is an absolute imbecile when it comes to the QB position , Defense was more disappointing but I at least thought that maybe Kirk would put His ego aside and put Sulli in to open the 2nd half . Nope, enjoy the Skidmark Bowl if they can find 2 more wins on the schedule. Iowa is cooked until they make a Coaching change to get us past the leather helmet era

Why do you suspect it’s only the QB position that gets this special treatment ?
I realize you can find these same type of highlights in many games, but watching ISU's Rocco Becht evade heavy pressure all night and create big plays by running or buying time on broken plays makes me envious. Sure, he's young and makes some mistakes, but he's a gamer who doesn't quit and keeps slinging it. Not too bad for a Sophomore.

Here's what confuses me the most with Kirk and QB play. It's not that he names a starter and doesn't want to disrupt chemistry by pulling him.
It's that he for some reason thinks this is baseball. You can start Sullivan and if he's ass guess what? You can put Cade back in.

If you lose the job in training camp, you might as well hit the portal immediately.
Or the young QB for MSU who made us look silly with his feet to keep plays alive or have big gains himself. We have Lainez and Sullivan who can do those things and are just riding pine. Can they do much worse??
This isn't complicated...any change in QB after one is annointed the starter is seen as questioning his decision making criteria.
Besides, the current Iowa starter earned KF a suspension and we can't have all that drama.
Think back to the Tennessee bowl game and how much of a humbling experience that yanking Fat Boy must have been?
