Of course we do .Well, that's good.
Do you believe He resurrected from the dead?
The question is-Who resurrected him?
Who was Jesus praying too the night before he died?
Of course we do .Well, that's good.
Do you believe He resurrected from the dead?
Ya know, I've watched The Ten Commandments a lot of times, and those "Israelites" were stubborn and hard to please. They finally are freed from Egypt's bondage and that's not enough! A buncha ingrates! The RedSea parts, Pharaoh's army is swallowed-up, and they're still easily-swayed! If I saw the Red Sea part and a pillar of fire stop Pharaoh's army, I think I could wait a few hundred years for Moses to come down from the mountain before I started bowing to a Golden Calf!I'm not really sure how to answer this. I believe it recommends to cut them down with swords and then give the survivors the plague.
When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain.
20 And he took the calf they had made and burned it in the fire; then he ground it to powder, scattered it on the water and made the Israelites drink it.
21 He said to Aaron, "What did these people do to you, that you led them into such great sin?"
22 "Do not be angry, my lord," Aaron answered. "You know how prone these people are to evil.
23 They said to me, `Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don't know what has happened to him.'
24 So I told them, `Whoever has any gold jewelry, take it off.' Then they gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf!"
25 Moses saw that the people were running wild and that Aaron had let them get out of control and so become a laughingstock to their enemies.
26 So he stood at the entrance to the camp and said, "Whoever is for the LORD, come to me." And all the Levites rallied to him.
27 Then he said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: `Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.'"
28 The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died.
29 Then Moses said, "You have been set apart to the LORD today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day."
30 The next day Moses said to the people, "You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin."
31 So Moses went back to the LORD and said, "Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold.
32 But now, please forgive their sin--but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written."
33 The LORD replied to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book.
34 Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin."
35 And the LORD struck the people with a plague because of what they did with the calf Aaron had made.
Of course we do .
The question is-Who resurrected him?
Who was Jesus praying too the night before he died?
Wrong sir . Read Colossians 1:15First, stop with the bold or this is my last response to you.
You say Jesus was created. I and the Bible never says that.
Lol the Trinity . So Jesus resurrected himself is that what you’re saying? The Trinity.
Why thank you kind sir. Appreciate the kind word. For the record I’m not trying g to attack anyone. I’m simply trying to have a reasonable discussion and an interchange of ideas. I do not believe my beliefs are any more important than my fellow mans….thanks again for the commentArrogant, pugnacious people arbitrarily throwing out Bible verses to attack one another with. The Jehovah's Witness is the most likable of the three.
Genesis 1 saysWrong sir . Read Colossians 1:15
Now how about Acts 7:55. You may recognize this when Stephen was stoned. who does Stephen see standing at Gods right hand? That’s right Jesus.so how could Jesus be God and standing next to God at the same time. Also maybe you noticed the glaring issue of the holy spiritual not being mentioned?(surely Stephen would have acknowledged this don’t you think?)
Shall we continue ?
Proverbs 8:22-31…these are Jesus words. Does he not say Jehovah produced me as the beginning of his way? Does not Jesus himself say he came to be beside God as a master worker? Once again if Jesus was God would he need to produce himself?
shall we get the encyclopedia Brittanicas comment on the Trinity ?
Ok here’s the quote from them: “Neither the word Trinity nor the explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies.”
Your floor . Go
The Trinity.
It amazes me how these details even matter! What difference does it make???Lol the Trinity . So Jesus resurrected himself is that what you’re saying?
I always liked that pronoun in Genesis.Genesis 1 says
"Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.'
Who exactly was included in the plural if not Jesus and the Holy Spirit?
So what makes you think there is more than two individuals here? I agree with more than one . But wouldn’t you agree it’s God and his firstborn Son?Genesis 1 says
Lol It makes All the difference in the world . If Jesus was resurrected it blows up everything you believe about the Trinity .It amazes me how these details even matter! What difference does it make???
Do you NEED these arbitrary details- which can NEVER BE PROVEN RIGHT OR WORNG- to be validated in order to just be a kind human being, and treat others as you want to be treated???
Cool anecdote!Sorry...I wasn't implying it wasn't accepted by others but it's the gospel that inspired George Fox to found the Society of Friends.
Wrong. We not only believe in Christ we serve him as Gods appointed King. We also recognize him as the messiah and the redeemer of mankind . His death opens the way for those who have faith in his sacrifice the opportunity to have everlasting life . Sorry to break the bad news to you but we are VERY CHRISTIAN
Why thank you kind sir. Appreciate the kind word. For the record I’m not trying g to attack anyone. I’m simply trying to have a reasonable discussion and an interchange of ideas. I do not believe my beliefs are any more important than my fellow mans….thanks again for the comment
You as well . You seem very genuine in your curiosity. No matter what we believe I think we can all agree we live in a rough world. We all long for a world that is free of some of the big problems we face as humans.Absolutely. You seem like a really good dude. I respect you and your beliefs.
The first two passages in no way indicate Jesus was a created being. Solomon was quoting Jesus 700 years prior to his birth and introduction to mankind?Wrong sir . Read Colossians 1:15

I found God when I was about 25 years old.Question for all religious people on here. Did you find god on your own, or were you raised in a religious family and therefore believe what your family believes?
Lol the Trinity . So Jesus resurrected himself is that what you’re saying?
Yes!!!No.
How did you get into the Jehovah's witnesses? Would they shun you if you joined a mainstream Christian denomination?
Yes!!!
I found God when I was about 25 years old.
No, as a religion Jehovahs witnesses do not consider themselves to be better than anyone else . We treat people with respect and respect their beliefs as well.No.

No, as a religion Jehovahs witnesses do not consider themselves to be better than anyone else . We treat people with respect and respect their beliefs as well.
My parents raised me as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. When I got old enough I had the choice to make my own decision . I was convinced this was indeed the truth found in the Bible.
And joining a mainstream denomination ? There is a reason people are leaving traditional churches in large numbers . They simply aren’t getting their spiritual need filled by the clergy. They don’t use the Bible, instead choosing to preach some social issue disguised as something religious. Most encourage their congregations to support mans governments when they should be directing them to Gods Kingdom, which of course our Lord and Savior preached about and told his followers to pray for. They also water down Gods clear standards on right and wrong, choosing instead to presume God will forgive with impunity no matter what.
I don’t think I’m wrong saying lots of people are leaving mainstream Christianity because of the hypocrisy in the churches .
Do you think other Christians, Muslims and Jews can get to heaven?
Of course not,.. nobody can go to a place that doesn't exist.
Good thing that Jesus dude didn't preach about "social issues", amirite? There is a reason people are leaving traditional churches in large numbers . They simply aren’t getting their spiritual need filled by the clergy. They don’t use the Bible, instead choosing to preach some social issue disguised as something religious.
Can't disagree with this.I don’t think I’m wrong saying lots of people are leaving mainstream Christianity because of the hypocrisy in the churches .
Do you acknowledge that the version of the Bible used used by Jehovah's Witnesses, The New World Translation, is different from those used in most mainstream Christian denominations? No, as a religion Jehovahs witnesses do not consider themselves to be better than anyone else . We treat people with respect and respect their beliefs as well.

What if there is and you miss it?
Then it doesn't exist for me,.. same result.
It’s actually not . If you do the research You will find it’s the most accurate translation in print. You can look into that if you want .Do you acknowledge that the version of the Bible used used by Jehovah's Witnesses, The New World Translation, is different from those used in most mainstream Christian denominations?
No he definitely didn’t preach about social issues . clergy today spend much more time on social and political issues than actually teaching their congregations the BibleGood thing that Jesus dude didn't preach about "social issues", amirite?
Can't disagree with this.
I’ll have to discuss this with you when I have time to respond appropriately. I’m at work but I’ll get back to you on that .Do you think other Christians, Muslims and Jews can get to heaven?
That would really suck.
LOL...yeah, you just went completely off the f'n rails. No he definitely didn’t preach about social issues . clergy today spend much more time on social and political issues than actually teaching their congregations the Bible
Actually, it is in very important doctrinal ways and it's only considered accurate within the JW church. It’s actually not . If you do the research You will find it’s the most accurate translation in print. You can look into that if you want .
Wait...LOL...yeah, you just went completely off the f'n rails.
I’ll have to discuss this with you when I have time to respond appropriately. I’m at work but I’ll get back to you on that .
Short story is there will be some people who go to heaven . However it is a limited number , the rest of faithful mankind has the prospect of living forever in paradise on earth .
This would support Jesus teaching that the “meek will inherit the earth “
Probably not,.. seeing as how I would be dead and unaware of anything.
THE Outer darkness? Is that a metaphor?I meant if you end up in the outer darkness like the Bible describes. If that happens, ask Jesus to save you.
