CEO JP Morgan on Trump

Jamie Dimon can just STFU. Deserves a serious throat punch.
Wall Street guys are where they are because they have the game figured out and know how to keep on keeping on regardless of who’s in office. They are almost ruthlessly apolitical and live in a survival of the fittest world.
In point of fact you should be okay with that. These are the people who make your 401/Roth grow.
I watched some of his appearance on MSNBC and he was trying to explain things the way a Wall Street guy sees things to a far left network with a very small audience and a very progressive POV. It isn’t as though he personally espouses these things.
His values are centered on what makes him his next dollar. Or dollars.
Cynicism can be a beautiful thing.

I was referring to a handful of the policies Dimon mentioned but thanks for proving my point so succinctly.

He was wrong about NATO, Trump tried to break up NATO by causing unnecessary division.

He was wrong about immigration because his immigration plan had no humanity built into it and has no desire to pursue the real cause of immigration which is the people who are giving employment to illegal immigrants. There is strong evidence that Trump himself employed illegals.

What was Trump right about with China? That they are a communist dictatorship and a threat to peace. Holy crap . . . no one has ever thought that before. . . you know except for pretty much everyone.

His tax reforms worked for the wealthy that's it.

The economy will ebb and flow but will generally grow no matter who is president. Presidents have very little control over the economy. The most control they have is through fed appointments. And Trump's fed appointments took too long to raise interest rates which worsened inflation. So Trump was wrong on the economy and actively hurt it.

What policies? He doesnt have any. A tax cut for rich people isnt policy
This is a great example of exactly how brainwashed most of you on the left are on this topic... this lie has been repeated enough that you all just take it as fact now, when it's complete bs.

Income data published by the IRS clearly show that on average all income brackets benefited substantially from the Republicans’ tax reform law, with the biggest beneficiaries being working and middle-income filers, not the top 1 percent, as so many Democrats have argued.

A careful analysis of the IRS tax data, one that includes the effects of tax credits and other reforms to the tax code, shows that filers with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $15,000 to $50,000 enjoyed an average tax cut of 16 percent to 26 percent in 2018, the first year Republicans’ Tax Cuts and Jobs Act went into effect and the most recent year for which data is available.

Filers who earned $50,000 to $100,000 received a tax break of about 15 percent to 17 percent, and those earning $100,000 to $500,000 in adjusted gross income saw their personal income taxes cut by around 11 percent to 13 percent.

By comparison, no income group with an AGI of at least $500,000 received an average tax cut exceeding 9 percent, and the average tax cut for brackets starting at $1 million was less than 6 percent. (For more detailed data, see my table published here.)

That means most middle-income and working-class earners enjoyed a tax cut that was at least double the size of tax cuts received by households earning $1 million or more.

So the break I got (Which I didnt even notice), is a hell of a lot less than the .01%er who is getting a cut that is more than all I make in a year.

He was wrong about NATO, Trump tried to break up NATO by causing unnecessary division. What he did was call out NATO members who weren’t paying what they were obligated to contribute based on a percentage of their GDP. Yeah they were upset because they got caught short changing NATO.

He was wrong about immigration because his immigration plan had no humanity built into it and a has no desire to pursue the real cause of immigration which is the people who are giving employment to illegal immigrants. There is strong evidence that Trump himself employed illegals. Why is it the obligation of the USA to require “humanity” of other countries into OUR laws? Who suffers? The children in NYC whose school was taken over by officials to shelter ILLEGALS while they have to endure the joke of ZOOM “education”???

Sounds like you are voting for him again? And if not, then why? Because he’s an POS who shouldn’t be back in office, right?

Which is exactly why we’re all saying Dimon can F off. There are things more important than policies.

I’m not voting for Trump and you know it. Is that all you’ve got? Please tell me you’ve got some real understanding of what’s going on???

Not as a percentage of your income, not even close. Again, you've been convinced of this lie from the very start.

He’s probably a gender studies grad working at Target and doesn’t understand how things really work. It’s a waste of time some days to argue with these unfortunates.

I believe you that you’re not. I’m wondering why you’re jumping in to defend Dimon. He’s wrong here whining about not treating MAGA respectfully (that’s so rich, btw) and worse, normalizing Trump’s conduct like he’s a perfectly acceptable option to lead this country again. He’s wrong, and it’s dangerous.

And yea, they’re masters at playing both sides of everything. That’s why my first post here said they’d sell their mothers if it benefitted them in some way.

But that's not what Dimon is saying,.. His position is more along the lines of Trump is a asshole but his policies were effective.

I watched Dimon and he was not defending MAGA/ism as much as trying to explain to the hysterical MSNBC people what it was that MAGATS liked about the Trump era.
Of course ANY deviation from the ultra work agenda is cause for overreaction this the hysteria.
Dimon won’t vote for Trump. Count on it.

It's our obligation to be humane no matter what the situation. That doesn't mean let them all in. . . But it also doesn't mean splitting children from their parents.
Like Obama did? Like the children who were taken from people who were NOT their parents?
Aren’t you smarter than this?

OMG. it is possible that you are dimmer some days than others.
How so?

Are you suggesting Donald Trump is not a rapist? He has been deemed one by a jury of his peers.

Are you suggesting Donald Trump is not a criminal? He has already been found guilty of fraud in a NY court and faces more than 90 other felony charges in multiple jurisdictions.

Anyone who chooses to vote for him because of his "policies" is willingly eschewing ethical considerations and character for personal enrichment. That is sad, in my opinion.

He wants the gravy train of crony capitalism to continue and will suck up to Trump to achieve it; meantime poor rubes like Hawkedoff/Biggrey remain duped into thinking Trump gives a shit about them because he feeds their rage boners.

Rinse and repeat. Quite the clown show.
Torb is scared because he thinks he will be one of the journalists on Trumps hit list

Not scared in the least.

Sad that people will willingly vote for a rapist and criminal for President of the United States.

This is a very sad time in the history of our Republic and it's been made that way by people like you.

Uh huh....

Did you notice it in your check? I didn't. It made zero difference to me. Zero.

I would say the guy getting a $200,000 cut notices more.
Yes I did, especially when it camr to tax refund time. Everyone that actually paid attention did. Just bc you didn't notice doesn't make the lie of it being a tax cut for the rich somehow true. Again, read the article I posted and look at the facts from the IRS. You should want to actually know the truth.

The middle class got the same cut by %, but the majority of the actual dollars go to high earners.

I get it.

The tax rates aren’t responsible for your wage.
Step up your game.

This shouldn’t surprise anyone, I would guess 85% or more of businesses don’t want another four years. Rarely does politics come up at work but I’d did recently in a large meeting with VP’s and directors and managers and most claimed to have caucused for Nikki or Ronnie with only a handful Trump. But all agreed the future is grim if this admin is reelected and we will have to redo our 3 and 5 year outlooks. Sounds very bleak in the future for employees unless there is a new administration.

So the solution is to elect a criminal and a rapist.
