Chris Hassel is a Clown

Well, if anyone would know what a clown who posts idiotic shit on social media or message boards looks like, it is OP.

Especially as benign as Hassel's comment was.
This. I'm surprised at the blowback he's getting on this board. He's one of the few guys I follow on Twitter, and I really haven't seen him say things over the line.

He thought Fran was being a jerk to reporters after one of his losses. You may disagree, but it certainly wasn't an outrageous take.

As for yesterday's comment during the game, I think it was a reasonable concern. My son was a month old the last time Iowa made the semis; he got his learner's permit this week. That's quite the drought.

Used to really like Chris, but he keeps saying really stupid shit about the Hawks. Maybe it's his idea to stay relevant after leaving ESPN, I don't know, but it's kinda weird.

Good for Connor for going after him. I'd stand up for my team and my dad, too.

Classic, it always seems like Frans players are more concerned about what us fans are tweeting and writing than what goes on, on the court.

In this thread OP has called Hassle a clown, an idiot, a prick and douche. Unreal how self unaware he is.

And anyone that uses derp or some form of it as much as he does is either a 14 year old girl or mentally challenged.

agree with this, Hassel in these tweets above is just saying what an awful lot of us were thinking at the time. When Wis went ahead in that second half by 7 I thought here we go again myself. The guys fought like hell and got the win. Really showed some nuts.
But When Fox sports puts up graphics like they did 4 weeks ago or so showing Fran;s record in every month it becomes more real and people begin thinking more about it, Hell there are numerous threads on here about the Fran fade etc....right or wrong.
I will say right now, if Iowa gets a 2 seed, that 7-10 game will be one of the biggest Fran has played cause if they were to lose that I am not sure where the narrative goes....but it won't be good....

I get Connor doesn’t like media ripping his dad it’s natural. Easier for hassel to be bit more critical because he’s not local media and Fran over 11 years does warrant criticism at times as most coaches do (not exactly what and how much hassel has done). But always read on this board how local media need to be tougher on Kirk and Fran sometimes with question and criticism and he tweeted what a lot of us were thinking and didn’t think it was over the line by any means.

guess my one gripe is timing of Connor’s tweet. You just won a hard fought game and looking at the time of the tweet it was less than a half hour after the game. Seriously enjoy the W instead of taking a shot at someone on social media. Especially from a guy he’s blocked. Just ignore him would be my advice.
