Congrats on Winning the West Division

Should be one of the more intense Iowa/Nebby games we'll see in a while. We're undefeated playing for a spot in the CFP while Nebby has a chance to take down their 2nd top 5 opponent of the year and somehow salvage a bowl game that looked impossible a few weeks ago.

Actually, not that I want to consider the idea of us losing this game, but what an anomaly that would make Nebby: A 6-loss team that would have taken down 2 (once) top-5 teams. And, assuming MSU makes the BigTen champ game, Nebby would have beaten both teams playing for the championship, but still be on the outside looking in.

Well that's what happens when you loss 4 games in the last 15 seconds and 5 of 6 games by 23 points.
We are what we are but we're closer to being a 8-3 team than what our record really is.

True, Little Red is definitely better than their record states. I think the Hawks still get it done. Perfect season on the line, energy should be very very high.

You know scarletred - I was all ready to tell you to go *** yourself, but I'll be the better man and leave that alone. Since I and most Iowa fans have been banned on the nebby site, I guess it's nice that nebby fans can still come here to talk football. If Hawks play mistake free football, they should win by 10+ points on Fri.. Regardless of the outcome, it's been a great season to be an Iowa fan, and I'm looking forard to future of Hawkeye football.

BTW - any new info on the Armstrong / Westerkamp fiasco, or is that all swept under the rug until the season is over?

Thanks for the props Scarlet. I personally believe this will be our toughest test. The Huskers are playing for a bowl bid, and for a chance to beat ANOTHER undefeated top 4/5 program. Not to mention that your fans will be juiced for this game. I only hope that we have the mindset to play another mistake free game. Either way....our boys better be ready.

GO HAWKS!!!

I agree that Nebraska is a better team than their record indicates. I do like and respect their program. Don't blame them for firing Pelini cause the guy doesn't have any class. But I must say, Mike Riley does have class, but I think he was the wrong hire. He doesn't seem to fit as a B1G type of coach, more suited for Big 12. If you guys could've waited just one more year, you might have been able to lure someone like Les Miles to Lincoln this year.

and in 2008, Iowa was 12 points away from being a 12-0 team, or 7 points from being 11-1. I wonder how many nebraska fans who use this rationale would rip into Iowa fans for doing that back in 2008. Moral victories suck.

Don't wait around waiting for Nebraska fans to give the Hawks credit for a great season and great team play. Not going to happen.

And 11-0 record for the first time in your school's History.

Should be an interesting game Friday in which rivalries become.

Thanks for the kudos, although I'm making sure my wallet is still in my pocket.

So then Iowa really only lost to Minnesota last year during the regular season and was really closer to being 11-1 than 7-5... is that how Nebraska math/logic works?

The excitement for this game is really building. Iowa has everything to play for in this game and Nebraska wants to be the team that proves the nay sayers on Iowa are right. I can't wait for Friday...
