Some of Masa's training (at Big Game). Funny story they told in FRL-- he wanted cutoff sweats like he had seen guys wearing, so he buys some at the store and asks the cashier if she can cut them off for him. She looks at him like he's nuts and says no but I guess you can use these scissors if you want. He cuts the brand new pants off right in the store.

For some perspective, in Japan you often get clothes, particularly pants, altered at the store while you wait. They don’t come with pre-hemmed ends so you get measured, wait a few minutes, and go home with pants that fit.
That sounds great as someone who can rarely find pants that actually fit. Found the video of the pants shortening. He's a really likeable guy, love that he and others are traveling and training in the US.

Unreal. Pretty sure I was still rubbing poop on my face at his age. This guy is so centered and articulate and has such a healthy mindset. Impressive as hell and couldn't be more thrilled that he's excited about being a part of Iowa wrestling.
I’m sure he’s been told that hundreds of times. His training opponents laying in a heap of broken soreness telling him, “damn dude, you are hard to go with!” were recorded into his autistic brain and that was likely his socially awkward way of showing grace and respect to his opponent.
