Cory Clark to miss SDSU

Oh good, I get to ask one of my favorate trivia questions. Post-high school Cael lost to five wrestlers from the USA. Four of the five were wrestlers from the state of Iowa. Name them.

I counted Kjelagaard because that match occurred after high schooll. Heskett is from Ohio [and I don't know if Heskett beat Cael in a real match]. But you got the tough one - Mike Van Arsdale. B+

I know Randy Pugh wrestled Cael a few times post collegiate but I don't remember him beating him Don't remember Cael losing that many times period

Joe beat Cael after thier redshirt year in the university game trials, at the time they both lived in Iowa. I assumed Kjelagaard and Cael would have still been considered HS (you know cause they were wrestling in a hs tournament and all) . So I will politely decline the B+ you gave me and give the grader c- for not knowing the answer to his favorite trivia question.

My relationship with my high school teachers in a nut shell.

Damion Hahn beat Cael while he was a high school junior and Sanderson was going into his redshirt year.

Hate the "Not a huge fan but..."

Douche move

Sorry is this better?

I really dislike WidespreadGeo but like the second half of his post on hating Iowa but wishing Clark well.

If what was posted here was true - Cory has a shoulder separation, rather than a labral tear, it could be cause for some hope. Shoulder separations range from mild to severe. If Cory's was mild, it could mean stretched, but not torn ligaments, with quicker recovery. Hope so anyway. He's such a critical part of Iowa's chances this year.

Would Clark be 50/50 for the PSU dual ?

How about Stoll ?

I hope both teams are full strength for that dual. It would be a shame if Clark or Stoll cant go.

I would say its very likely you see both for the dual. I'm guessing we see Stoll at Midlands, and Clark shortly after, if not at Midlands. Purely guessing though.

I'd be shocked to see Stoll at Midlands and it would take a minor miracle for to see Clark there. Curb all enthusiasm when it comes to Cory.

I just thought that it could be possible since Stoll has been going live for a while we might see him 3ish weeks from now, but you would know more than I would on both topics. Do you think it's realistic to see both back by mid to late January?

I don't really care when they come back as well as they are 100% (or very close to it) for Big Tens and Nationals. Hopefully they get back early enough to get the rust off.

This is all I'm hoping for at this point.

If Corey has a separated shoulder (of any realistic variety) then I expect him to do quite well come tournament (Big 10) time. If other shoulder injury than all bets are off.

I agree use your team mates keep training and stick to the rehab process get as close back to 100% as they can then get back in time and compete hold nothing back... My two cents

It could have been a lot worse. Cory will be healthy enough to compete for a title this season. You might need to put 255 on ignore though. I was hoping nobody would break this news since SD St was game planning for Clark. Now they get to mentally prepare for the next man in.
Clark will only get stronger and better as long as there aren't any more setbacks. Good first match but didn't like the scrambles he ended up in this soon into his return. He was vulnerable in the one scramble. Sunday will tell us if he came out unscathed.
