Cullan Schriever's first high school match

I can't comment on that right now, Spooner. The sad part is I can't drink anymore, so anything that comes from me is only lortabs at best.

I haven't seen one post on here in years that has any clue about youth wrestling in Iowa. I need to start an ongoing thread about that subject itself.

The lack of clue on youth wrestling includes your babblings sans penis. Have a good night. Night night - make sure you tuck that bellie button you call a penis tight.

So Schriever beat the #1 3A guy 6-2. Schriever is probably 100 at the most. The guy he beat was supposedly dropping from 120 pre-season and someone is disappointed in Schriever?

Looked great to me. Super fast on his shot and completely wore them down.

This is too much fun and I don't want to end it, but I'm getting tired of her asking why I'm laughing and I'm missing my window of red wine sex time.

It was fun playing my old role with gablefan, and Spooner I'll explain my mixup tomorrow. It's real simple and stupid. I went full troll tonight and It sucks I can't do it again under this name. Night, brochachos.

The parents and coach have had the kid cutting weight for years...and not like "cut out junk food" but like "you weigh 97, you're going 84"

That's just wrong.

I have no idea what is happening but be rest assured if I ever did suck a wiener I wouldn't pick yours.

Wait...I just figured it out...you didn't mean to say he's wrestling tomorrow. Gotcha. Understood. Honestly I wasn't trashing you. At best I was setting you up for more Iowa youth wrestling rants.

Tim Krieger was the best I ever saw.
Tougher than wang leather, that's for certain. I'm a few years older than him, but he used to make the trip over to my home town a couple hours west of Mason City to work out and travel to some of the bigger tournaments with a local family friend. Got to know him and his Family just a little bit. Super nice kid, way back when, and I presume to this day.

I believe he's still the only 4 Time #1 seed in NCAA Tournament history (I'm pretty sure that's true).

Rich Stillman is a great guy and was tough as hell in both wrestling and football.
The guy was a brute to be sure. They won a ton of everything in Wrestling and Football around that timeframe. Not sure why he didn't pursue DI Wrestling (at least to my recollection he didn't - think he went to the local Juco Iowa Lakes, not sure they even had wrestling at that time). He was certainly capable.

That statement is completely false. And, the kid just destroyed the #1 ranked kid in the state. If it were college rules the score probably would have been 12-2 with Cullen getting a lot more TDs. Give the kid a break, and quit posting ridiculous stuff like this.

Why we have a thread devoted to a 106 lb freshman in hs is beyond me.

I guess this is my fault. To be fair Cullan is one of the nation's top wrestlers and he is in state. I meant what I said in the OP I didn't start this thread to knock him, but given all the hype surrounding him I was hoping to see him come out with a bang.

Cullan had a really great week overall and I will be following his high school career with excitement.

This is a flat out lie and is libel. Yes, he has weight cut and controlled weight prior to tournaments like any other top youth wrestler, but not in off season or between tournaments. He goes to Mason City schools. You guys all know he has a (non identical) twin brother right? Colby wrestles 120. Why aren't the same accusations made against him? He is great, but not dominant, so the butthurt jealousy doesn't bring out the liars.

And please stop with this penis talk. Talking about another posters penis needs to be banned

Agree with this. Great defense, for one thing. Beautiful roll to avoid the TD early in the match. Other than that one shot, it was all Schriever. Also agree that he would have had at least two more TD's under college OOB rules. Shoot -- on one go-behind, he had control before the ref even blew the whistle.

Speaking of that, I'd love to see high school adopt college OOB rules. Makes sense for preparation for college, plus it would make matches that more exciting and high-scoring. For that matter, I'd prefer a push-out rule in both college and high school, but that's a whole different can of worms.

Well then my source (who coaches youth in Iowa) was wrong. I have nothing against cullan whatsoever and I hope he's successful in high school and beyond

Clean it up in here, man. Sebolt is great for Iowa wrestling and he personally has always been nothing but nice to me. I put the BS that I had something against him to bed along time ago when I just dropped bombs in here to get things going. I said I'd love if Sebolt was closer, I'd definitely pay for my kid to go there.

I have no idea if Cullan has ever cut a pound. I'm sure he's probably wrestled up for some competition plenty of times. We watch him wrestle whenever we get a chance. He's been representing Iowa wrestling for a long time and doing well at it.

I also have a man crush on Gablefan.

Seebolt has always been an odd duck but he has a slew of kids that are absolute beasts.

Iowa Lakes didn't even start a wrestling program until about 6 or 7 years ago. So you are right about not wrestling at ILCC.
