“It’s time for another “EV math for gas car people”.
My Ram 2500 has a 33 gallon tank and costs me approximately $127 to fill from empty at $3.85
My Cybertruck has a 3.4 gallon tank (123kwh) and cost me approximately $17 to fill up (.14c/kwh)
I am out doing errands / farm deliveries in 84-87 degree zero wind weather and my truck is averaging 319wh/mi. That’s 105mpgE.
My Ram 2500 would average 12-13mpg on the same route.
The Cybertruck is 9x more efficient with its stored energy than a comparable gas truck.
Almost an order of magnitude!
It’s incredible and over time this truck could pay for itself in gas savings alone. In 7,000 miles of driving I’ve already saved $1300
In 150k miles of driving if gas prices stay the same at $3.85ish I will save $26k or more. If I keep it for 300k miles? $50k in fuel savings.
I love that I’m now immune to gas and oil prices and if I wanted to invest in solar I could bring my fuel costs to $0 after the panels are paid off.”
“it’s basically a 600hp heavy duty truck that gets 100mpg. Oh and it’s bulletproof”.
