Cybertruck

Holy shit. This is the part of the frame that connects the 11k lbs rated hitch.

If you watch the entire video, not just a dodgy misleading clip and engagement farming headline, you’ll note that prior to towing he damaged the hitch and frame by:

Ramped it at a horrible angle with a hard landing, ran it over logs bottoming it out repeatedly, then drove it off 8 foot concrete tubes with the back end crunching on solid concrete damaging the hitch and frame before he even attempted to do any towing.

Those details don’t make for a good gotcha post in a cybetruck hater forum though.

Until it hits a pot hole and the tow hitch breaks from the frame.

yes because this happens when you hit a pot hole?

I posit that any truck sustaining a fall like this with direct pressure on that specific part of the underbody would seriously damage the frame and rip off the bumper.

Ha Ha. 11K is funny.

It’s pretty clear these still were not ready but they rushed to the market due to the growing humiliation of how long it was already taking.

I can’t imagine paying 100k for this.
Idk, think the truck is ok for its target market. Status symbol and to be in on the ground floor of new tech.

So you can pull the trim off with a pry bar?

Is there a dealership lot you couldn’t do the same thing to every vehicle?

This is…. odd.
My truck doesn’t have any “trim” to pull off with your bare hands. There are rubber weather strips on the top to channel water, but those are meant to come out.

Anyone else find it strange how defensive people get about Tesla products? Does it lose value if someone doesn't like it, or maybe it dies if people don't believe kind of like Tinkerbell?

Any "trim" that is held on w/ just "glue" is coming loose w/in 5 yrs or so.
Thermal cycling and weathering will not treat those trim panels well....

No. Feel free to investigate the construction of your vehicle’s A pillar, and see if you can pop the edge, and then peel it back by hand.

He didn't remove the A pillar. That's the what the trim was connected to.

With that huge ass pry bar I could remove all the trim from any car.

This guy used a screwdriver to take the trim off a Honda Element's A pillar.

Obvious takeaway is that Honda makes trash cars, right?
