Cyclones now have a losing record

I believe the Huskers recruited Fred to play QB.
I believe Fred was born in Omaha, I think his father was a grad student at Nebraska, he was recruited there to play QB and his grandfather coached BBall at Nebraska. I think most ISU fans loved Fred but most are OK with him moving on, some are still butthurt some still infatuated but him returning, seems very unlikely. The Haliburton news is a real gut punch to an already disappointing season. Good God don't tell me I will have to cheer for the Hawkeyes LOL.. TBH I hope they do well, Garza is a great talent and works too hard not to like and the rest of the team plays well if they can keep enough of them on the court. Maybe not having 13 players available has helped keep Fran from playing too many people.

Good post. I cheer for ISU when not playing Iowa so I get that it’s tougher when your team is having a disappointing year. I love supporting the four Iowa schools and I don’t seem to find many ISU fans that are the same. You seem to be that dude.... be that dude.

'clones demolished in the second half against ou last night.
Don't know their upcoming schedule, but they sure could use a game against a dreadful okie state team

This is not "brutal news". It would be brutal if they were on the NCAA bubble, or if they were heading toward a high seed, in which case the loss of Haliburton would actually mean something.

Their season is already over, the loss of Haliburton is no big deal.

I agree with this. I actually think the loss of Haliburton will be beneficial to them going into next year, especially if they don't have him. Tough for Clone fans to see right now, but this may be a blessing in disguise for their future.

After getting drilled by texas tech at home today it looks like they're assured an overall regular season losing record. They have to win their last 4 in a row plus one in the conference tourney just to get to .500.

I am guessing they want a new coach. Beside their golden boy who walked they had Morgan, McD, and this disaster. Way to poke the “bear” JP on hires. Beside Campbell who has never had a top 25 finish JP is a nightmare outside of some new walking bridge.
Pollard’s the best thing to happen to Iowa sports since . . . ever, really.

Or as Foster sees it, cellar-dwelling Iowa State is the more attractive program since Haliburton is a lottery pick and Iowa is *ONLY* a top 20 program in America's best conference.

Nothing stops the two Register ISU writers from writing things like "how ISU can make the Big Dance," etc. and taking half the page for it. Even had an article that "Frashilla(sp) says don't give up on Prohm" If there is anything possible to write about Clowns they'll write it. Paid by the word, I guess.

Not sure which is funnier or more pathetic. Pollard trolling his own fan base or ISU fans saying after Iowa beat Tech that Tech sucks this year and ISU will easily beat them and then getting curb stomped in front of a sparse crowd at Hilton Magic by that same Tech team. Really, really awful year for the Clones in all sports well except Pollard’s baby, cross country.

Actually, Peterson destroyed Prohm and the team in his latest article.

Yeah..."unacceptable?" Laughable. Who the hell does this guy think they are? One day he's writing article defending prohm with Fraschillas words saying prohm is a victim of own recruiting and pointing out NBA departures. The next day it's unacceptable with best player injured after bad home loss. Fanboy journalist but that's no newsflash

Today's article is about a "stranger" giving comforting words to Prohm. I didn't read it but the headline is laughable.

But Prohm is young.

Therefore he is a good coach.

They will be making the NCAA tournament every year with their superior young coach.

I’m only using Cyclone logic here.

How can you say that?!? If not for some bad calls that stole football games from them, they would have played in the National Championship game led by the coach that practically invented the game.

Yep and isu counts every national championship as Matty Campbell’s as long as he played, was a manager or assistant coach or farted at the games he attended.

Every school does the same don’t they?
