125- A- that second period was way slow in first match. But he's looked fairly good so far
133- B+ tough first match. Should've had major in 2nd match which I'm a little disappointed in but he's really gutting it out and I'll take wins right now
141- B+ pretty good day for Carton other than the dicamillo match. Keep it going tomorrow and let it fly!
149- A good offense today. Have to shoot tomorrow!
157- A when Ironside said he hurt his knee again against same kid I almost lost it. But he's wrestling great right now. Just protect your knees tomorrow and just win baby
165- B first match was bad but second match was good
174- A classic Meyer. Take it to Bojo
184- A- tough first round matchup. Go after it tomorrow
197- A wow did not see a win coming there. Give it your all tomorrow!
Team- A- outstanding 2nd session and really a great first day. Best first day we've had in awhile
Valholl- A+ great effort and dedication

Just noticing in the consis that Carton, Gunther, and Wilcke all have the best possible paths to AA that they could wish for--none of them has to face anyone in the top 9 to AA (assuming higher seeds win in QFs).

Not saying the path is easy, just the best path they could hope for.

Don't tease me like this, Tarp.

Bonus Points...

PSU - 10.5 (2 F, 7 TF, 1 MD)
tOSU - 8 (1 F, 3 TF, 7 MD)
OSU - 6 (3 F, 3 MD)
Iowa - 6 (2 F, 1 TF, 4 MD)

DISCLAIMER: This may not be 100% accurate as I didn't double check

When was the last time that Iowa had at least 9 guys and all 9 made it to Friday? Or even if there were 10 guys, when did 9 guys made it to Friday? It seems like this hasn't happened much lately. I could be wrong...
It was a good day - Iowa guys wrestled well. All are in the hunt. I was called an A-hole only once. Pretty good day ...

2.5 points (TG not finishing the TF, Clark not finishing the major, and the ref missing the fall for Carton)

I asked this earlier but got buried in the play by play.

On Espn they popped up the scoring and had TF with no near fall 1pt same as MD. Did they get it wrong I thought that changed that.

Seemed like the Gilman match he slowed down at the end and could easily have gotten the take down but since he didn't have near fall he was looking to take him right to his back... or he was just looking for the fall and thought he had the TF locked with ride time which he didn't. There was conversation with the refs after this one talking about .5 point.

It has to be changed and ESPN's graphic is old. IT's entirely possible that ESPN isn't right on top of all the changes in wrestling.

Just keep asking the question.

TF with backs is no longer a thing, so not sure why ESPN showed that. 15 point win equals extra .5 bonus.

A- Great all around day. My only thought was why would Gilman take down in the second period? He has had some trouble getting out and did again today. He could have had three or four more take downs in the second and TF early in the third. Just my opinion...

Tom addressed that in a late interview. He admitted that was a miss. said slowed down the match. Thats why he took neutral in 2nd round.

Dude, as banged up as Clark is, you have to at least give him an A-. I'd give him an A for just being in control of his matches with only one good arm.

lax glad you are having a good experience, if hawks do well today you will be required to attend every nationals for the rest of your life.
