I understand the "relax, it's just the spring depth chart" argument.
However, the fact that he's still on the roster is problematic itself. To compound that, being QB 1 on the depth chart is inexcusable.
He satisfies the bare minimum qualifications of being able to stand upright and take a snap. How that manages to result in being listed at QB1 at ANY time on the depth chart would be mystifying anywhere but at Iowa under Kirk.
