Deportation flights costing ~10k per person

Doesn’t matter they’ll make their way past the border again. Deporting , deporting, isn’t going to solve this until the job issue is addressed. Don’t care how secure some claim the border will be under Trump. They’ll still find a way past it.
This ^^^

Start charging and shutting down the employers - those who attract and exploit illegal immigrants.

Can someone do the math and tell us how much it will cost to deport 2 million people?

How much does it cost to incarcerate criminals each year, year after year?

It’s a bargain to the taxpayer.

I know Biden and the Dems prefer the policy of simply releasing dangerous criminals back into our communities after a slap on the wrist. That stupid ass policy didn’t work and won’t work.

Dude, nearly 50% of those picked up over the weekend had no criminal records. Quit being a bigot. You still have time.

Wouldn't it make more sense that when we catch them, we hold them and do a full background/criminal history check, and if they have a clean record with gainful employment history, etc., we simply fine them, give them work visas, etc? A big fine, like $5k they can pay off in installments.

Being here illegal is just a misdemeanor after all, and we'd save a lot of money both in the cost of deportation and to their employers and help prevent more inflation and supply chain issues.
Nope

Simply being here illegally is a crime.
At least come armed with facts, bro! Simply being in the US without legal authorization is a violation of immigration law, but it's not actually a criminal offense. It's a civil violation, dumbass. People in the US without proper immigration status face consequences such as deportation or being barred from re-entering the country for a period of time, but they are not typically arrested or charged with a crime unless they engage in other "criminal" activities.

you'd think a group of people who are so invested in the difference between criminal and civil courts when it comes to sexual assault allegations would be able to recognize that same difference when it comes to immigration

I see PF with his usual. This is how I envision him (and honestly others) every time they chime in with the laughing emoji.

Trump committed to the cost of these deportations every time his actions made it harder to sign immigration legislation for this country... Far as I'm concerned, the money's already spent

Saw a report and interview on NBC News last night that to house a mother and young elementary girl staying at a hotel in NYC for six months, cost so far…..$60,000. For two people and six months. That’s ridiculous.

That's like $333 per day, so I'd say the cost is not particularly unreasonable for room and board,.. Ridiculous part is that NYC is picking up the tab at all.

They get processed, handcuffed and detained until the next boxcar is available. They are criminals and will be "rounded up" and shipped south.

Okay, genius. I get this is your porn, but factually speaking, deportation is still due to a civil violation & doesn't equate to a criminal conviction unless a criminal offense is committed beyond immigration status.
