Do you check your wife's tires?

My wife gets pissed at me because I never pay attention to her car. Just curious if there are other major league losers out there also.

I don't check them, she has a low pressure indicator. But years ago I invested in a Sears air pump so I could fill the tires at home and I like to inflate for her :)

Pic of her oil can?

Wife and I don't really have separate cars right now. We have a car that each of us drives to work (she works part time when I'm not working so someone can always be with the kids.) and we have a van that we drive around with the kids in.

And I do EVERYTHING with the cars. My wife does not know how to check air in tires or how to fill them and does not seem very eager to learn either.

I've never been eager to learn how to cook, clean, and do laundry. No complaints.

Tell her you'll service her car (including tires) when she services you.

My girl just checked and filled her tires yesterday since I have been out of town. It's actually quite the turn on for me..

Just last week discovered my wife's Toyota was running kinda loud. Looked under the hood and by listening closely could tell some noise was originating from the serp belt area. Planned to pop the belt off and give everything a good look-see on the weekend.

On Friday I'm driving my wife to a Dr.'s appointment in her car (you can't say "dumb" yet). On the highway we suddenly hear this tremendous clattering and clanging. After about 6-8 seconds I hear something fall down, through, and out the engine compartment. Look in the rear-view mirror and here's some part with the serpentine belt attached to it careening down the highway (NOW you can).

That's that Toyota quality right there!

It was the water pump pulley. Lucky it didn't tear anything else up when it and the belt came off. Super easy fix, had it done the same night (luv ya YouTube). Major design flaw, the new pumps are much beefier. Old pumps are said to go out at 60 -65K miles ... her's had 65K. Dang thing has had so many recalls and water pump should have been another, but it wasn't.

Sooooo .... no. At least by a day I do not maintain the wife's car often enough.

...plus I give her a good bounce to check her suspension.

Only thing I won't do is flush her radiator.....she's gonna have to go do that herself.
