lol no. Did you really feel that way after he threw 10 passes against Wisconsin and played 1 half against a really really bad NW team? Clearly showed Friday night he can’t be the for sure guy and if he is we’re screwed. Could he win the job? Maybe, but should he? I don’t think so if they bring in a competent qb to compete against him.
Does Iowa go after one or 2 QB’s in the portal this next season?

I'd agree Sullivan shouldn't be penciled in as the starter right away; but to say if he is we're screwed? He's a solid player and I think we'd be all right if he's the starter next year.
By no means does that mean we don't need to look at the portal in December however. Lainez remains a giant question mark, have absolutely no idea what we have in Stratton and who knows in Jimmy as a true frosh - really hope he is an early enrollee however.
His passing is efficient enough if the linemen do their job. Which they did not do against UCLA. And the run sets up passing game which the limen didn't do their job run blocking either.
I don't trust Kirk to get a reliable enough QB out of the portal. And Lainez I don't think will still be a Hawkeye next year.
