Gave up on them several games ago. Haven’t watched a single bounce. We’ll see if this momentum can translate to any type of success. Making the NCAA tourney still well in doubt. They have a chance to win me back but I’m not getting a huge erection over a .500 Big Ten team.

It was brutal for a few games and I'll be honest, if it wasn't for Freeman I probably would have given up watching them a long time ago. However, he has been fun to watch get better and he will be a top tier Hawkeye before he is done.
I told myself I was done, but I'm an addict and keep watching. Tonight was an enjoyable game. We moved the ball well and played better defense
Seeing Dix elevate his play has been great too. Iowa succeeded in the paint without good outside shooting, and Minnesota front court is pretty good.
That describes so many of us. I was right back yelling at my tv tonight. I loved watching the lineups we had out there tonight.
If next year Koch and Todja PF turn into good prospects ready to play Iowa could be be tough team. This season think best would be NIT but glad to be wrong.
Some of the young guys are coming around besides Freeman. Notably Dix, but Harding as well. I like Bowen as well.
NIT seems about right. Unless they really start rolling and putting up quality W’s. I’m more interested in off season and guard recruiting. Need to add some in portal.
I think Harding's speed tightens up some undies of the opposition...haven't seen that kind of speed that also comes with self-control and poise. freshman aren't supposed to do that...
The last two games have actually been entertaining to watch which is the main reason I watch. Seems like they found an identity.
The team does seem to be gelling right now with everyone being more comfortable in their role. I like the facilitator first role out of Perkins, the confidence of Freeman, the grit of Krikke and the shot selection of Dix. Fran is also doing better on minutes distribution some of which has been dictated by injury and foul trouble but hopefully he is learning the winning ingredients to this team when it comes to match ups. They aren't great but they also don't suck and might just have enough to finish in the top 6 in league play.
That and one more physical guard would be nice. Similar to that Bakari transfer. Probably butchered his name.
They need to make hay during this stretch of the schedule. Purdue is an almost certain L but after that is a stretch of seven games that are all winnable. The last six games will be brutal:

Penn State
at Northwestern

Realistically we are only winning 1-2 of those six so gotta stack the wins now. Also, I have no sense of what sort of conference record will be required in order to make the NCAA Tournament this season. A lot of years 11-11 in the B10 (including the B10 tournament) will get you in but I'm not doubtful this year. The conference had a bad November-December. Might have to go 12-8 or better.

Their passing is spectacular. They are a well connected group and the young guys are tough. We've had a lot of finese and soft teams this one isn't that.
Our NET is now 48!! Nebraska is 54 and still in the tourney per bracketolgy. Iowa is very much alive again. Get to 11-9 and win 1 BTT I think they squeak in. Need a win vs Wiscy, Illinois or Purdue at home though. Seton Hall needs to keep winning too.
Jordan Bo didn’t necessarily get abused on defense while not being much presence on that end. Harding and Bowen together along with dix could work if the 4 and 5 provide great defense.
Would I be okay with a portal transfer for back court? Yeah, I don’t think you turn down looking at talent here if there are interest here but it’s not too bad right now
