$12.50 tickets to Van Halen????

I paid $7.00 for Eagles tickets about 6 years before that at Purdue. They were on their Hotel California tour at that time.

BTW, the facility in the video, MSA, is where Elvis gave his last performance. There's an historical marker there commemorating the event.

I don't remember who was with them, but I paid $3.50 to see REM (they were billed as REMS) at First Avenue in Minneapolis in 1985. Saw a lot of great bands up there, and Cabaret Metro in Chicago, in the 1980s for embarrassingly little money. We'd spend more on a hotel room than tickets for 2 nights of bands.

Man, the 80s were a great time to see live music.
