And FTR, 266 death since 1911. Only year without a death since 1937 was 1982. 2005 there was 11 deaths.
That is one of the craziest races that surprisingly still goes on with the expectation that the odds are someone will die. All racing is inherently dangerous, but this is still the king of risk.

The best parts are the numerous jumps. Ballaugh Bridge is the most famous, but there are places with quick elevation changes and suddenly the riders are in the air for around 100 feet at 200 mph.
