Early Minnesota/Purdue Probables

Well; I DID have friends. Then my kid decided to be a Hawkeye and everyone went running for the hills. So I guess that means all I got are the the snakes and this rag tag bunch around here. Seems like a good trade, in my opinion. 😂🤣😂
We are Good Folks, for the most part. Our snakes are mostly harmless.

Anyone want to bet that Steveson pulls some punk stunt after his match?

A farewell to a fanbase that enjoyed watching the Gophers lose to Iowa, as a team, for every year GS was a collegian?
This was a (bad, very serious) first year problem that Gable has overcome. Yes, there could still be some minor extra celebration, but I think Gable has also grown to realize that you don't celebrate individually if the team doesn't win!!

We will see.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions on the guy. Just wanted to point out that he is currently shaking hands and taking pictures with Hawkeye fans. Has been for the past 5 minutes and the line is probably 50 deep.

Sam Skillings at 184 for the gophers definitely hinders any chances for an upset in the team score lol

Before I saw this post I would have said anyway that I think he has gotten vastly better than he used to be. I presume he has learned over time. And now he's an Olympic Champ, gotta learn to act like one, and I think he has, but it wouldn't shock me to see him go off the rails a time or two either.

Regardless, he had nowhere to go but up.

I have always believed it was intentional, an act, with a single goal in mind (WWE). Frankly, I loved it. With contacts signed you are seeing the real Gable. The only knock I ever felt about him was what felt was a lack of effort his freshman year. He very much changed that.

After winning Gold over the Summer, I think Gable realizes he represents USA wrestling as much as Minnesota at this point.

Iowa fans also seemed to embrace that they are also USA wrestling fans when they put school allegiances aside and gave him a classy standing ovation.

Nice moment, especially considering all the derision we have seen in our society over the last year and a half.
