6% of all school shootings happen at private schools….and private schools make up 25% of of the PK-12 schools in the US and 10% of all US students PK-12 are in private schools. Using those numbers, they happen more often at public schools, but not drastically so when you factor in the ratio of public to private.

Those shootings aren't taking place in the private schools like they take place in the public schools.
