Eric Garner's Daughter's Ad

Serious question about your bumper sticker. Why would you have something that says Republican there when you've seen President Obama institute numerous policies specifically aimed at reducing America's status in the world and push us towards a standard of living closer to 3rd world status?

What policies are "aimed at reducing America's status in the world"? (This should be good...)

It's an old bumper sticker. Still more true of Republicans than Dems, but Dems are hardly standing tall, either.

Much of what Obama has done wrong has to do with his caving to GOPs or continuing bad GOP policies. Which does NOT let him off the hook. But just remember it's the GOP policies that are mostly the problem, even when carried forward under a Dem president.

Sadly, the choice of R or D is more a choice of how fast you want to degrade America's wages, environment, rights, education system, standing in the world, and various secular priorities than whether.

Complex answer: (Simplified)

  • Yes, criminal police actions should be prosecuted. (We've all always felt this way.)
  • Police deal with life threatening decisions daily. They deal with absolute scrum. We need to cut them some slack and be grateful as hell that there are people willing to do their job.
  • Racism is cultural. Few white people really get it. Many blacks are retarding their own development by taking the victim role.
  • Awareness is important, and this ad helps with awareness.

Your second bullet point tends to negate your first, which is the crux of the problem.

Sure everyone is on board with prosecuting the cop who raped like 30 women but your second bullet point is what allows it to get that far.

You're right and I knew it when I wrote it. That's the cultural / individual / subjective point that can never be resolved.

I've got a good friend who's a cop in Miami. He swears there are streets in Liberty City that a white man will be shot for just driving through. He says the perps are true animals and that the average man is clueless to the severity of the social problems. I love his cop stories but I fear this cancer on society will eventually consume us.

I have to say I'm disappointed with this thread. I had no idea who "Eric Garner's daughter" is, and was hoping it was about this Garner:
