my main concern is recruiting. teams below Iowa in the league are getting better talent...that will catch up to iowa at some point.

Reasonable expectations for the near future; as far as recruiting, the prior two years' shortcomings will haunt the team for a bit but the newcomers should help. Maybe there is one or two underrated ones in the group. We'll see who Fran gets to sign net year.

My expectation for Iowa basketball is that it is fun. Students want to go to the games and have fun. Young and old want to go to the games and have fun. CHA is packed. Wins are thrilling, and so are the losses. CHA becomes a tough place to play, because the fans are so passionate. Tickets are hard to come by. People leave work early if they have to just to get to the game or to watch it on TV. Games are on everyone's calendar. You have to get to the sports bar early to get a seat on game night. People talk about Iowa BB on Tuesday morning at the coffee pot.

I guess I shouldn't say that is my expectation, because it is my dream. We have a long way to go to get there. But, we are lot closer to that than we were just 5 years ago.

Oh, I have the same dream about football, but it's going the other way.

I expect at least one regular season and one BT tournament championship (all the better if they both occur in the same season) within the next four years. If he does that the NCAA tournament appearances will take care of themselves.
