FAFO Mega Thread

Reminds me of the people who Stalin had murdered going to their deaths screaming about how if they could just pled their case to Stalin he would fix this mix up right away.

Same cult of personality. Same belief that the object of their worship is only going to get rid of all the bad people that they have invented and it's never going to affect them.

Some of you may remember that I’ve mentioned an old diplomat who has visited our store a few times over the past couple of years. He stopped by again today—and, honestly, he scared the hell out of me with what he had to say about Trump’s actions.

According to him, his contacts are sounding the alarm: the United States, as we know it, is changing in ways that may not be irreversible for quite some time. Our relationship with Europe is permanently damaged—our diplomacy is effectively dead, and we may never regain their trust.

He believes Trump’s next targets will be Taiwan and then South Korea. Asian leaders, he says, are still in denial, convinced that the U.S. remains the force for good it once was. But under this administration, that simply won’t be the case.

He also pointed out that part of what Elon Musk is doing ties into this shift—specifically, that his actions are partly driven by a strategy to gain control over government pensions, using them as a deterrent against opposition.

Trump has undone 80 years of diplomacy, and even with future stable leadership, the damage may be irreversible.

So dramatic. Let's check back in five years and see how accurate he is. Stable poeple already know the answer.

The level of concern is certainly warranted. That said "never" and "irreversable" are rarely actually the case.

Another point he made was that he believes it's time for Obama, W, and Clinton to come together, speak out, and lead rallies. It would be powerful for the three former presidents to unite in publicly condemning Trump’s authoritarian attempts to reshape the country’s identity.

Add Mike Pence and Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney too.

There ARE more of us (non-morons, non-fascists) than them and we need to make that blindingly clear.

You laugh at that but that guy's (former) job was as a USDA food inspector. Fire the food inspectors and see what happens.

Plus, that guy's job was not easy. Probably spent hours on the lines every day at the packing plant doing inspections to make sure we have safe food to eat.

This entire thing has gotten out of control and is ridiculous.

She has a documented pattern of dishonesty. Your post isn’t sufficient to either prove or disprove.

Try again.

This bot is a persistent mofo.
Put all the bots on ignore. They provide no real context. Not having them on ignore is like reading and then debating with Quanon for 30-60 minutes a day. You wouldn’t choose a barstool next to the village idiot to converse would you?

You have limited time on this earth…don’t waste it reading and responding to garbage.
