This one might be my favorite one and sums up so so so many of what these people did.
In essence:
“DEI and wokeness was annoying as **** so us white dudes voted for Trump and our entire life’s work and our jobs are at risk and the country is on fire. Regerts.”
Main irony here, is that it was the right-wing media that pushed all the "woke" nonsense, incessantly, at them.
If they got away from X and right-wing media, it was almost non-existent.
The local daycare/preschool lost either the grant or funding, have notified the parents of 60-80 children they can no longer care for them, and letting go of 7-11 employees. This is a 90% republican community. Will only take care of 40 or so kids.

People indirectly affected on the first day or so, become intrinsically affected within a week, or a month, or a few months.
I’m assuming they went after the early education/preschool. I am uncertain of the cause but the early word is the government cut funding.
This is going to be the same formula for Medicaid/SSI benefits.
Companies that house adult mentally disabled folks get paid from those funds, and when those are shut off, those companies disappear, whether you have the $$ to pay out of pocket for a mentally disabled adult, or not. MAGA and DOGE will just throw them all out on the streets.
My best friend from h.s. is a cop in Barkley's hometown. He's run into him multiple times & says he's a great guy. Couldn't be nicer to everyone.
Smart people don’t seem to be valued in the current admin. Whether that plays out more widely country wide is certainly something to worry about.
Where “smart” peeps would go to is unknown to me. Personally, it would be Spain or Canada, most likely.
Some of those same kids will probably get kicked out of gradeschool for indiscriminate reasons and won't have any recourse for that either because the charter schools that accept their vouchers don't have to give them a reason or due process to remove them.
Our communities currently only have 1 small charter school starting. Not sure how successful it will be. 20 kids I believe.

North Dakota's farmers voted overwhelmingly for Trump. He's brought great uncertainty to their livelihoods.
