FAFO Mega Thread

Actually this is great. Let’s have those techies find any government employee who is directly connected to a FoxNews host on LinkedIn…

…and fire their asses.

If you are a friend of Jesse Waters I am quite confident you are a do-nothing piece of shit. Let’s find ‘em all and kick them out of government service.

Some pretty sad examples in the bsky thread of veterans holding government jobs who are now SOL (and probably unable to find private sector jobs due to disabilities from prior combat injuries).

Democrats REALLY need to source these folks out, and start making 2026 and 2028 campaign videos of their stories.

Dems need to start publicly rolling out legislation proposals that undo and protect these programs from executive overreach with these people standing with them.

Since all of these cuts appear to often be random and without any thought or preparation put into them (see all the different agencies that already are trying to hire back employees that were fired), I fear when Democrats come back in to clean up the mess that it's potentially going to take decades to fix everything.

We are just living in the dumbest timeline.

Absolutely, but they have to start a messaging campaign now to be able to sit back at the table in two years. Clearly the voter base gives zero f@cks about actual plans, so pointing out the impact should suffice for now.

The young techies who are going through the files aren't making cuts, they're simply raising the questionable items
They're literally using DEI "keywords" to identify things

This is how OSHA publications that have those keywords, used in context completely unrelated to DEI, get deleted.
And lots of other things completely unrelated to DEI get axed, as well. It's how entire groups of people protecting our nuclear arsenal material, and those tracking H5N1 bird flu get fired, then there's a giant scramble to rehire them, but they can't because they already deleted the databases, and have no contact info for them.

That's not remotely "raising questionable items"; it's sheer incompetence.
Someone posted somewhere about "running this like a company" - I've never, ever, in my entire career, seen ANY company fire entire groups of people/divisions, then figure out a day or two later they actually needed them and tried to hire them back -but lost all the contact info to bring them back in.

How you try to "normalize" this is utterly baffling.

It's going to cost 10x-100x as much as this "savings".

What other agencies are rehiring?
SBA and ? post it.

I have a friend at the US Forest Service who wasn’t probationary and was only supposed to be fired for cause.

They fired him for performance reasons. He’s only gotten “totally successful” in reviews and his rating has always been excellent.

So they fired him on false pretenses, which of course will hurt his future job prospects. He doesn’t do anything important, just fire mitigation.

Not to mention the firing of Veterans working at the VA. Many disabled due to injuries sustained in war.

Where’s the conscience here? These people had good performance reviews and are getting fired.

It’s not that easy for disabled vets to get jobs. My dad was called a “freak”, for being disabled. Fortunately he was hired by the AF, and went on to have an excellent career in AF intelligence. You see the “freaks, losers, and suckers” can be quite beneficial because they’re not your “normal” person.

Seriously, if you want a reduction in force, have Congress change the rules to make them at will employees and then lay them off.

Claiming non-existent performance issues is truly pathetic.

This is your supreme show of idiocy.

It’s well documented and, for quite some time this has been his MO.

Try starting with what he said about John McCain.

You are truly a disgrace as an American and a disgrace to the human race.

You need Dachau or Auswitz. Maybe that will fix your twisted mind.
John McCain was a pos who got captured in Viet Nam because he wouldn't follow orders. He then sold out his fellow pow's to get preferential treatment from his captors, that is why they called him songbird.

Who else besides Kelly said this suckers and losers comment actually happened? Name them.

Farmers feeling weight of Trump policies with shutdown of aid

Contracts violated.
Independent farmers go under.
Support overseas goes away and creates a vacuum politically.
Corp farms gobble up the little guys.
Prices go up due to less supply and less but larger players able to influence the prices.

Lots of winning.

Looks like trump won farming dependent counties by about 78%

IMO, if this goes as predicted, the Dems will have some great opportunities to start flipping some red states in 2026. But, sometimes the Ds can screw up a wet dream.

The Dems need to run candidates who are credible on economic matters, who can appeal to a cross section of swing voters. Both parties cater to their base and the Dems in particular showed just how out of touch they were with swing voters in the last election.

Which means the Dems will run people who want to re-litigate trans folks in sports.
