I’m not trying to be hyperbolic here, but, say we have another couple of 8-4/7-5 seasons and Kirk decides to retire, do we really think Brian has earned the head coaching job so far?

Earning has nothing to do with it. If it did BF wouldn't be OC

BF hasnt even earned the Offensive Coordinator job let alone a shot at HC. He was placed there by Daddy without any experience and it shows in his game plan week-to-week. His play calling is very questionable and predictable - he has strokes of brilliance but then goes to the same damn predictability.
