Five in the bag, five to go.

I’m not conceding a regular season championship yet. I’m telling you — these guys could be right in the mix until the very end. This is a collection of tough minded winners.

Right, I forgot to factor in the bias the selection committee will certainly have against Iowa.

You shouldn't have. We are a small media market and of negligible advertising value. You think it comes down to Iowa v. tOSU for the last invite there is ever a scenario where tOSU doesn't get the bid?

Fran always seems good for one huge road win per year that we didn’t expect...UNC, Purdue, OSU, MSU. We have some decent ones this year but nothing great.

True although to be fair, it’s not our fault ISU and (until recently) Syracuse have been trash this season. Any other season, those would be badges of honor.

But your point is valid.

Not a chance the selection committee leaves a top Naismith candidate - likely winner - out of the tourney if he's on a 'bubble team'. Doesn't matter who he's playing for.

OSU got a 10 seed with an 8-12 conference record last season.

Correct. And Iowa will have a number of good wins according the NET even at 9-11 or 10-10 in conference.

Back half of the schedule is not easy. The bad news is Iowa dropped one that most everyone else in the top half of the league will get at Nebraska. I don't see how people see that Iowa has road losses at Penn State, Michigan, and Nebraska and then just automatically think we're going to get 2 or 3 of the remaining road games. Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan State, Indiana, Maryland, Purdue, all tough road games.

If you watched the games you would know why. Either our best 3 point shooter or 2nd best shooter was out and he also provides some of the best defense of any player was out. We played flat, they made some plays, but with Frederick I think both of those would have been wins. It shows are margin though. We have to remain healthy the rest of the year.
