They also have Nolf over J'Den Cox. This is much less shocking to me than not including Cox in the top 3. Also, Clark was not the second best wrestler at 133 last season, he just benefited from having Brewer and Nashon on the same side of the bracket. I saw nothing from Clark in 2016 that made me think he would close the (rather large) gap between him and Brewer.

I am not embarrassed at all. Just amazed that my doing a friendly Top 10 list turned into my being a "passive aggressive instigator" simply because I didn't have Sorenson in it and thought another runnerup may be VERY SLIGHTLY better. How am I supposed to respond when this happens????
I love this sport, love talking wrestling and am a fan of Iowa and Sorenson. Find one post in this topic where I disparaged Sorenson. I think he is a stud and admitted that I could be easily wrong comparing him to Meredith.

All champs or finalists except Cobb and Grothus with the only head scratcher being Cobb. If Zain had stayed at 141, then Meredith would not have been a finalist and Sorensen would have more than likely been a champ.
It's not a knock against Meredith but you have absolutely no basis as to why you are ranking him above Sorensen, especially considering the losses. An Iowa "fan" would always go with Sorensen in this instance and it's not close. It is a debate...no need to whine or play the victim when challenged.

I am well aware of Sorenson's record and I have ZERO problem with the debate, regardless of the fact that it was NOT the theme of my post. Every Iowa fan should absolutely be supporting Sorenson. Especially in this comparison. However the comparison was NOT the intent of my post. In fact, the ENTIRE post was ignored and Sorenson being ommited became the topic.

To put Meredith above Sorensen is a joke(right now). He's a tough kid that took a ton of losses last year. He got red hot at the right time. He went from a fringe AA to a finalist. I don't think it ever happens again. Kevin Jack DNP in the same bracket and he beat Devin Carter the year before(and took 4th?). IMO Meredith will be not AA at 141 with this year. 141 is 20 deep so it's no cupcake to get on the stand.

re: 133#: If you're going to have 2 guys ranked #4, then the following guy should be #6 not #5. If one weight class is gonna go 21 deep, then it should only be because of a tie at #20.

I said I would gladly bet and said I could easily be wrong. I don't mind the debate one bit and "why me" isn't close to accurate. If it was I would run away with my tail between my legs. Instead my "pair" are powerful and remain exactly where they should be. I am here to stay and find it quite comical that people look so hard for something that isn't there and have to respond with personal insults instead of sticking 100% to the topic. I didn't make this topic about Sorenson or Meredith, wasdt21 and others did. In a very friendly fashion I immediately responded with reasons why and said I could easily be wrong. If you notice I wasn't the one that kept it going after that. Still, I remained friendly and simply said that someone that had to point out how wrong he believes I was, even after I said I easily could be, should be more than willing to give me odds. Not sure how that makes me a whiner or a self-proclaimed martyr, but I can't make everyone happy and HONESTLY(that cap is for you WildTurk) have learned to enjoy bothering some of you that point out my every mistake(real or imagined).
