Remains to be seen. Next year is going to be a rebuilding year and I don't expect a lot.

We have seen the best, a lot of decent teams, but nothing great until , as I have said, we get a top flight pt guard (like about 3 of the guards on Auburn that just shredded our defense) and a real big man. Filip was playing out of position
I’m ready for Franny to move on. I have zero confidence he can get difference makers in the portal, so we will suck for the foreseeable future.
They were also playing a ****ing home game...as a 9 seed...**** THE NCAA.
Fran has taken us as far as he can. Unless... He can somehow magically start recruiting top guards and starts coaching some defense. At this point, i think we all know that's not gonna happen.

Fran’s tenure at Iowa has always been held back by his inability to land truly high caliber guards, Don’t see it changing.
Next year is looking rough unless a major transfer comes in. That's also assuming Perkins stays. Perkins transferring would absolutely suck for next year.
Dasonte is a 4* but for some reason didn't get much playing time until the game tonight. Definitely need better guards that Ulis and Perkins to make March runs. Not sure if Bowen, Dix, and Brock are the answer or not. Too early to tell.
They could have played this game in the McCaffrey's drive way and they would have lost.
They cannot defend and cannot keep a decent guard in front of them.
Perkins sucks.There will be a dozen guards better than him in the portal.
He's been a HEAD coach for umpteen years and would seek the help of a less experienced assistant who knows more about defense than he does? Would not make sense.

We have a lazy fat cat AD riding things out until he retires, so I guess we will find out as we are stuck with Fran.
