Fran: "There are agents actually shopping mid major players BEFORE they go into the portal."

Jesus, it’s fairly obvious what Fran is saying without coming out and saying it. It isn’t that difficult and it’s not unique to Fran. If you honestly believe that coaches aren’t in contact with these players then you’d be as dense as the NCAA.

Well, if this is what some people wanted.

Tampering didn't start with NIL. We need to stop acting like this is new.

I am guessing it increased exponentially with immediate eligibility, tho.

For sure, that made a huge difference. However good players transferring is someone new as well. It used to be looked at as some sort of character flaw in the player.

The blue blood cheaters could not have asked for a better system. Now, it would be almost impossible to get caught cheating, because, what exactly is cheating these days? Bill Self is probably yukking it up!

I agree and said exactly that in the Kirkke thread.

Nope. Still not understanding what Fran is saying here. He’s upset with the tampering and he was upset with that long before NIL. NIL makes it more prevalent.”

I know the SCOTUS ruled in favor of players earning NIL but did they rule that the NCAA and schools cannot impose any rules at all on athletes such as transfer /eligibility?
Academic requirements?
This is insane.

Exactly what I would have posted! Fran....or Kirk for that matter, can be righteously indignant all they want, but you can either play the game and be competitive, or don't play the game and be an also-ran.

Tampering is here to stay
