After 13 years of making us a respectable program there is speculation that Fran may move on. Where do you think you would go next?

He's next in line for your Mom. @McLovin32 is gonna tag him in.

He will retire the year after Jack returns to Iowa and leads us to a NT. Bank it.

I would assign a relatively equal likelihood to any of these scenarios:
  1. Fran retires when Jack graduates (2025), giving Fran and Margaret more time to follow Jack's college career.
  2. Fran aggressively pursues another coaching opportunity next spring (2024), and Jack soon after announces a commitment to that school.
  3. Fran stays at Iowa for another 5-6 years, meaning he will miss almost all of Jack's college games, and may even coach against him at times.
  4. Jack ends up coming to Iowa after all, and Fran coaches at Iowa for another 5-6 years.
Of these, I personally think #3 is the least likely. But then again, Fran's priorities as a father might not be the same as mine.

4 seems most likely, but I don't know Fran. I don't think he is ready to retire, but that might be second most likely. I don't think he has any intention of looking for another job, and I doubt that he wants to coach against his son, or miss his college career.
