Look folks, I rarely post over here anymore because I have neither the time or the energy to deal with some of the nonsense these days. I think we try to give all of you pretty wide lanes to discuss things. One thing I have said since I started here full-time back in 2003 was we try to do the best we can and we also try to be as fair as possible. I've had liberals call me a conservative because I have banned them and conservatives call me a flaming socialists because I have banned them from posting. It's not perfect. Moderating a message board never will be. I have always said it's like being a cop, you can't catch everyone who is speeding. It's not doing with political bias in mind either. Just be respectful to each other and you will be fine. I know that's a heavy lift these days and things can get heated, but intelligent people can have respectful discussions and at the end of the day simply agree to disagree.

And if you have questions about moderation of the site, why a post was taken down, or why you were banned, happy to discuss it with any of you private via the DM's here on the site or my email address, which is in my signature. Thank you.

Tom I will say I love the Lounge and HROT, and each board certainly has its own personality. the website as a whole is managed really well, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Also, to one particular moderator that sent me an email....I won't be bullied. In fact, I'm pretty damn reasonable. You ban me, I'll file small claims in a jurisdiction that will not be fun for you. To ignore enforcing rules, but then choosing to enforce them erratically based upon a political position, yeah, that won't hold up in court when I pay for a subscription here. No names need to be mentioned. But the rules have been violated here for years.

I say this in wanting peace.

Not really. Said moderator never told me what I did wrong. Additionally, what I called out on enforcing rules here and there, was spot on. We have seen a variety of things on here that have been enforced and not enforced.

I did a search to see my post history and could not find anything along those lines. I'm sure it was deleted.
