I'm 100% fine with thatWhat this means is that Gable, Gavin Teasdale, Spencer Lee, and Brady Berge will all be Hawks.

I think not. As long as I am not connected to the school in any way I certainly can do this. Please show me the rule that says I can't. I can't find anything. Kids earn academic scholarships all of the time, and often don't need as much athletic money. Uncles,Aunts, and grandparents help out frequently and again this isn't illegal. A walk on can pay for his school pretty much anyway he can as long as the money doesn't come from a school affiliate. This is my understanding of the rule. Please post the specific rule that says I really missed on this wasdt21. If I'm wrong I will gladly stand corrected.
So are the little guys just hoping to eat off the table scraps the big fella leaves behind? What's the connection?
At what point does the IRS come in and trump the NCAA?
Sure "a guy" could make this happen but a common practice would not be kept quiet.....for long...... especially if said institution was already on double secret probation with plenty of enemies
Otherwise this is a great plan and I'm suprised it took the intranet to figure it all out.
I think in the case of Bravo-Young anyway, his Father has some Apple Valley or Minnesota ties or roots or whatever you want to call it.He said on the radio that Bravo Young "is my best friend right now" ... the connection might just be that he's a high school sophomore being asked questions about college before he's even given it much thought.
That guy really gets around. Wonder if he'll take over Waldo's spot?I spoke to Nick Suriano at the Nitanny Lion Inn after the match, he confirmed that Gable was in fact in attendance.
I asked Zain Retherford and he said Gable was not there. Man, that was easy.I spoke to Nick Suriano at the Nitanny Lion Inn after the match, he confirmed that Gable was in fact in attendance.
"Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State, Oklahoma State and Iowa State." Which school does not belong in this group?
This would be a great concussion protocol question.
The first post u are referring to was from September.I have no idea if he was there or not but there's definitely a discrepancy between what you are stating and what some over on the PSU board are saying. Earlier in the thread you said Steveson mentioned on takedown radio that PSU is a school he is interested in. Then later on you said your source that has ties to Apple Valley said he has no interest in PSU. Sounds like all kinds of talk flying from every direction to me. Kinda reminds me of the Mark Hall recruiting process all over again.

How would anyone know if someone simply gave a kid $$$ to attend U of ABC?
Seems like it could be difficult to monitor.
Silas Nacita is a good example of how screwed up NCAA rules are. Great student, football player and wrestler (former CA state finalist) and just overall great young man. He was a kid who had lived homeless for a while and accepted enough to get a room and food while at Baylor from a friend back in Bakersfield who in no way was a Baylor booster. The kid was working trying to scrape up enough money for books while trying to keep straight As at Baylor and play football. If you want to help a kid get an education and live out their dreams in college, regardless if your intentions are pure or if you have ulterior motives, you better double check every NCAA rule to make sure the kid doesn't get screwed by your generosity. Here are a few good articles for those of you who don't know about Silas aka Salsa Nacho...
