Curbelo is fun to watch.

He really is. He’s very much a throwback player with a very old school game. He never panics and is freaking fearless for a freshman. He’ll try anything. Very creative. guys like that can make you pull your hair out at times but they are usually electric.

I think he’ll be scary good as an upperclassman if Underwood can keep some talent around him.

If he ever gets an outside shot, he could be an all-american caliber pg.

So let me see if I have this correct from your brilliant observation...

Iowa "wants" goaltending called. So as per normal the Officials are stopping play immediately because Fran wants a call? LOL! In the meantime, Weiskamp instantaneously grabs it and puts it back. But somehow, in that instantaneous timeframe the whistle blows to stop play. Man, those guys are good! Fast too!

This isn't Star Trek, nobody got beamed up in the time it took Weiskamp to get the put back in the basket. The rule sucks and needs to be changed how they handle it. Period.

Ayo is not little. He is 6'5", athletic, long-armed and skilled (with the hair of Sideshow Bob). NBA guard basically. I agree Frazier had the game of his life. It was badly needed as there were numerous no-shows on the Illini (offensively): Kofi, Georgi, Da'Monte Williams, and Adam Miller. Curbelo is fun to watch. I don't like when he slows it down and plays in control. I like when he plays in overdrive and has both spectacular plays and wild turnovers. Illini need Grandison and Hawkins to bridge the gap between the team's bigs and smalls. Grandison was fantastic yesterday. He provided an athletic spark similar to Keegan Murray for Iowa. Good luck in the postseason.

Honestly Hoops, I really thought Miller would be a HUGE thorn against us. That kid is a baller! And Curbelo is gonna make a lot of teams crazy. Good luck to your boys as well.
