Greg Gard goes on the Offensive, defending Brad Davison

I don’t like calling kids names... they’re young, emotional, and competitive. But this kids plays dirty and his coach is absolutely full of shit!

Agreed. Even if he nut punched a guy I'd give him a pass for doing a stupid thing in the moment as long as he was remorseful and apologized. None of that has happened, so as a professional nut protector I say, "Boo him!"

The bad thing is possible injury because of his infantile behavior, and his brother Gard who shares his playpen.

Lol sad. Double down on the fact that you guys are cheap f***s that rely on garbage tactics to even have a chance in games.......and it always make you look even worse when it's not working and you lose.

Davison literally relies on drama filled antics in tight games to try and get a call. Almost pulled it off today. Thankfully Iowa is still that much better than them.

Throughout his life, Davison has participated in more than 120 hours of volunteer work, going on service trips to Jamaica and Costa Rica and also at Shriners Prom.

Did his mom write this wiki entry?
Is missionary work really volunteering or recruitment or does he volunteer to recruit more Christians?

Fook Davison! Fook Wisconsin!

Watch both videos:

Honestly Coach if THAT kid is a great representative of your team and your University, (given all the dirty ball smacking tactics he's pulled in the last four years), then You and your team, and the University of Wisconsin should ALL be ashamed of yourselfs. Too bad for him the PROOF is all on film and NOW he's being called on the carpet for it. Two years too late unfortunately......

The last Wisconsin game I watch Davison had both hands wrapped around an opponents bicep and looked like he was trying to chin himself. I know Wisconsin teaches their players to foul by using their lower body while showing their arms to move opponents from beneath the rim on RB's and on offensive shots. They pride themselves on how few fouls are called on their team, but that doesn't mean they aren't committing them. They always seem to have at least one player that is known to other players as dirty. Davison is just the latest.
Yes, the chin up on Cockburn's arm....... and tried to point it out to the ref like he was getting the hook/hold!

Bucky does so much BS the officials are surely getting sick of them. Watched some highlights. You see a Rodent slap Jordan then flop, right in front of a Jordan trey. Another play Luka gets a two hand push in the back when off balance. They bitch constantly-there is always some Rodent on the floor or the bench deep in the officials ear. Rodent Ryan at least had some actually good teams that could back off the thuggery and antics but Gard's teams have really regressed to just thugs.

What board is their basketball discussion on? It’s not rivals correct ?
SB Nation. mostly the young emotional posters (like every where) but there was multiple reasonable replies stating the case of ”where there’s smoke theres usually fire...”

I kind've remember an Iowa player a while back that had a sort of a shady reputation, Jacob Jaacks I believe was his name if I remember right. Every team has players that are considered a dirty players.

Yes, Brian Cardinal!
Lucas Johnson for Illinois was known to take a cheap shot from time to time as well.

I think most reasonable Badger fans think Davison is trash too. I sent my buddy the tweet of Davison flopping into the stanchion under the basket. His response was something like "we can't tolerate him anymore. He is always hustling for calls."

The thing is that he isn't a terrible player. He can make some big shots outside and can penetrate to kick. His defense is okay. I don't get why he has to be a tool and grab, tackle, flop, whine, take cheap shots, run his mouth, etc... He is just "that guy."

I remember Brian Cardinal as more of a Nicholas Baer hustle type player than he was a Dirty Davison type.

Cardinal would certainly be somewhere in the middle of Baer and Davison. A lot like Jaacks and even like McCabe to an extent. They liked to mix it up, we’re always in the middle of some sort of skirmish, but generally overt about it and not dirty.

Davison is on a whole different level of dirty.

Idk if they’re not coaching it like they used to or if the officials finally caught on, but I’ve noticed Wisconsin getting into foul trouble more often the past couple of years. It did come back and bite them a few times over the years. I recall once whew they had to foul and hope they got the ball back. Only trouble was, they only had like two fouls with less than a minute left. Took half the remaining time to get in the bonus.

That’s the bizarre thing about guys like Davison or Grayson Allen. They were very good players, they didn’t need to play dirty. Davison though found this niche, kept getting away with it, and now he’s got the rep so he doesn’t get as many calls anymore.
