She doesn't have the ugly required to play at ISU.I flew from CR to Dallas with Jada, said she had to visit ISU then Baylor before she decided, this was Saturday after leaving IC.

She is a horrible ball handler/passer/driver/scorer. Her defense is OK and she is a good 3 pt shooter if open. She is a turnover machine/bad decision maker.Who do we have coming back that is a better ball handler ? I don’t think we have a better ball handler currently on the roster than Guyton.
Stremlow, McCabe, Feuerbach...I think you will find the stats prove this out. Stremlow deserved more minutes in my opinion...I think Teagan showed some great moments and deserved more minutes that went to Guyton as well.Who do we have coming back that is a better ball handler ? Hays is most certainly not a guard.....Stremlow, McCabe, Feuerbach...I think you will find the stats prove this out. Stremlow deserved more minutes in my opinion...I think Teagan showed some great moments and deserved more minutes that went to Guyton as well.
That said, as a group, our guards had to many turnovers. Scoring, defending and rebounding where all decent for this group while Affolter and Olsen where by far our best Hawkeye guards on the floor.
McCabe needs to work on her defense and drive to the bucket, improve on her overall mid range scoring efficiency, With all the energy spent on closing out on her 3pt attempts, she should be able to back door, or drive to more layups. I would expect Feuerbach to improve her shooting form the 3pt line and mid-range as well, and reduce turnovers.
Stremlow and Teagan need to focus on improving their ball handling and passing, fewer turnovers.
Hannah, work on fewer fouls and outside shooting. A legitimate Top 10 returning Forward in the Country
Ava, just keep on doing what she has been doing...another legitimate returning Top 10 Center in the Country
I am excited to see how another year of experience looks on Jada, I like her enthusiasm, size and athleticism. She looks like she belongs on the court. She is sneaky good, just needs to have more confidence, she has a lot of upside.
And Callie looked good at times as well. I expect her to improve a lot this coming year.
And don't we forget we have another great incoming Freshman Class, all guards (6'0"), Deal, Hays (6'4"), Houston (5'11").
Losing Guyton was not the end of the world that many think. I expect she will move again after next year, chasing the NIL dollars. I wish her all the best on her next stop.
Would disagree that Fuerbach, Stremlow and McCabe are better ball handlers than Guyton was. I think she was a better ball handler than all of those 3 and the only one that could play the point guard position. It doesn’t matter now, we will have to get a pg in the portal. Go Hawks !Stremlow, McCabe, Feuerbach...I think you will find the stats prove this out. 33 assists and 49 turnovers. Not my definition of a good ball handler.Guyton was a better ball handler than all 3, theyvtried to use Stremlow as backup point early and she had problems with ball pressure. Stremlow does have some passing as does Levin. With a summer of development it's possible either Stemlow or Levin could develop enough ball handling and passing to play some pg, but I don't see either as a primary PG
Listed as a Guard in Recruiting circles...Hays is most certainly not a guard.....
I don't remember those three having the ball stolen away from them as much as Guyton did this year.Guyton was a better ball handler than all 3, theyvtried to use Stremlow as backup point early and she had problems with ball pressure. I did notice she was not to bad on the eyes! She doesn't have the ugly required to play at ISU.

You forgot one attribute....She was a FRESHMAN!!!! Were you around when Czinano was freshman? Guess I'll defer to your coaching/scouting background. She is a horrible ball handler/passer/driver/scorer. Her defense is OK and she is a good 3 pt shooter if open. She is a turnover machine/bad decision maker.
I have clearly stated that she could develop into a good player. The claim here is that she already is a good ball handler. She currently is not.You forgot one attribute....She was a FRESHMAN!!!! Were you around when Czinano was freshman? Guess I'll defer to your coaching/scouting background.
She didn’t want to be here, she had every opportunity to be a Hawk.Really wish this somehow meant we could get Maddyn Greenway.
Watched some games of hers this year and there's such AGGRESSION in the way she plays. Super talented. All the skills. Super STRONG. But also the intangibles.
Never know with the portal, but she would have been great in an Iowa uniform
Send a link where she’s listed as a guard 😂Listed as a Guard in Recruiting circles...
Layups?Kennise didn't play this past season, and didn't do much in her limited minutes before her injury the year before. I would be surprised if Jada gets any more minutes next season as she did this past season. They all need to cut down TOs and improve ball handling. Making layups would be another thing to improve.
Lololo, okay then. Thats a typo my man. She's 6'5" and bigger then Heiden. She's a 5 pure and simple..Listed as a Guard in Recruiting circles...

The link you shared said P which is for Post.Iowa 2025 Recruits
ESPN - usually fairly accurate..
You don't see too many guards that are 6'4" in women's college basketball. The link you shared said P which is for Post.
Hmmm, I have seen other sites use P for Point Guard, C - Center, PF, SF, my mistake everyone... Sounds better, complementing Deal...hope she is actually 6' 5" then too (listed here as 6'4"). We still need another experienced Big and Guard from the transfer portal, doesn't have to be at the Lucy level, just solid production and defense. You would think with all of Jan's experience developing Bigs, she should be able to snag one from the portal. The link you shared said P which is for Post.

It's on HawkFanatic. Oct. of 2024 when she committed.provide kink?
Sorry, meant "link" of courseWhoa! I'm not providing any kink here buddy.
Chad coaches his 10 year old kid for North Tartan. Maybe we get in early there?Really wish this somehow meant we could get Maddyn Greenway.

I think she had potential if she trusted the system. Unfortunately the constant public question from AJ was a distraction.
She doesn't have the ugly required to play at ISU.
Not saying she's pretty. But when jan was head recruitor they went hard in the paint for her. She's a beast.I would say Audi is a pretty woman.
There is no 3 seconds count for the defense. My only complaint is she is in the paint the whole time on d and doesn't get called for 3 seconds
