Have we discussed Coach Prime going to Colorado?

I think you should go back and read this thread over, and others on Deion at CU. I think he's good for college football. They played poorly, and were undisciplined today. Is that factually wrong? Find an obsessed / hatred post from me about Deion.
TIA
They weren’t undisciplined. Come on. They just didn’t play well and got beat by a Kansas team on a roll.

But I do owe you an apology. I probably mixed you up with the other Deion haters and I’m sorry about that. (Although I do wonder if you ask if other coaches will be “classy in defeat” or just Deion? )

I’ll give a hatred post - Deion Sanders is an avatar for everything that sucks about the current state of a game I used to love: focus on “me-first/get mine” players, totally transactional and mercenary, phony faux “Jesus” lip service, total front runners that pout when adversity strikes.

They will win games under Deion due to being able to out-talent mediocre and bad teams - but they will never seriously challenge for even a Big 12 championship because they are me-first, front runners.

Sounds like your complaint is more with the new system than Deion

Torbs for the win.

This is definitely a “mid” take echoed by most of the white folks in our fine country.

And they could still win the Big 12 championship this year.

Hence why I said avatar. I’d argue he leans into it more than anyone else other than Lane Kiffin - who i also think is a jackass that will never win anything of substance.
What is “winning” though?

A national championship?
A conference championship?
Merchandise sales?
TV exposure?
College admissions/popularity?
Players in the pros?
Etc etc

Only one team can win a national championship. There are a lot of other attributes other than that.

Racist. 🤨
lol. Nice try. I agree with Torbee on just about everything but his post is the same tired take we’ve been hearing for 2 years.

CU has faced plenty of adversity and responded very well. On a micro level yesterday they were down big (per your amazing mid game update) and they cut it to 23-21. They just sucked on defense yesterday against a hot team, has nothing to do with folding when adversity hits.

Disagree, and the majority of voters will disagree as well. Hunter is All-American quality on both sides of the ball. Shedeur has been a fantastic QB for the Buffs though, it’s just Hunter is that special (and important to the team).

I agree that the voters will disagree with my take, but if value is one of the deciding factors, Sanders is undisputedly more valuable than Hunter and that is just on his team.
Jeanty should win the Heisman; he is everything on that team and the number 1 RB in the country. .

Indisputably? That’s just not true. As you know Hunter plays twice as much. Sanders stands on the sidelines while Hunter shuts down his part of the field. He’s adding value on nearly every play.

Take Sanders off the team how many games does that team win?
Take Hunter off the team how many games does that team win?

No matter what level of football , a great QB is more impactful than a great WR/CB combo, whether it is 1 or 2 people

I think they are both great players and CU would not be as good without either of them.

Do you view the Heisman as an MVP award? Or the best college player? Maybe that’s the issue in this debate.

Congrats to CU on their “Merchandise Sales” trophy then. 😂

Two things:
1. Please STHU about Deion Sanders EVER coaching at FSU.
2. I don’t care one bit about the B12.
I never thought he had a chance either but I was at a major college donor party Friday night that had the highest of high mucky mucks and listened on a conversation that basically was:

A) Norvell is here for sure two more years minimum, even if 25 sucks.

B) But, if in / after 2026 they are having to part ways and IF Primetime still has growing success at Colorado without his sons and Travis Hunter and recruits well / gets transfers and fields good teams he would get a look…something everyone thought was unthinkable 90 days ago…

Hah. You get my point.

But if you disagree, let’s take Iowa. Why even be a fan of Iowa if it’s National Championship or bust? Iowa will never win one again, and probably won’t ever win the Big 10 again. Nobody cares about an 8-4 Iowa team nationally. So what’s the point, then?

Apparently it’s racist 🤷‍♂️
Calling something a white take is not racist. Just different views on the world.

Deion can absolutely be considered a douche. He has many amazing qualities too. Guy has half his foot amputated and was a world class athlete in multiple sports but doesn’t know how to teach others to deal with adversity. lol.

Well, we know it has never been about the best player, as Leon Hart in 1949 was the last lineman who was deemed the "best" player by the Heisman voters.

I believe the Heisman should go to the best player; since that will not happen, it should be the most valuable player.
The value of a great WR or CB is considerably less than that of a great QB or primary RB at the college level IMO

I just think he’s the most exciting, dynamic player in a long time. Love to watch him play.

This is not meant to be confrontational, so don't take it that way.

How many Boise St games have you watched this year?
Jeanty is having a huge year, with over 2000 yards and 27 TDs.
There is not a player doing better at his position and more meaningful to team success than Jeanty, but he is not as good a story so he will finish behind a very good wr/cb player who is not the most important player on his team.

0.0

I assume Jeanty will be in the mix to win?
