Spartans are quite relevant in today's football world, they don't have to go around trying to get everyone to approve of them.

They will blitz. Nebby did Sat, and I saw our o line pick it up better than any other game this year. Maybe one of the few bright spots was our o line.
I think you get Beathard indoors, and this helps Iowa. I think we'll throw on first downs more than usual.
But this is Iowa - MSU. Two teams that still like to play defense and hit each other hard. It could very well bore the rest of the nation, but whoever comes out of this game has a chance, a very good chance to win one, if not two more.
Who has some breakdown of MSU, and some sort of game plan based on that? I don't see much about their team on their message boards.
MSU has grown accustomed to border line dirty play. I said borderline. They push defending receivers. They push late hits. I've not seen egregious examples of this, outside of the last time they visited Kinnick, and those examples were really on the officiating crew for not calling these hits and facemasks. FWIW, last year at maryland their fans said we were dirty for our style as well.
I'd expect this game to be similar to 2009. That game could have gone either way. The difference on Iowa's side is a better offense, and a worse defense. At least that's how I see it so far.

Michigan State or Iowa are guaranteed in the playoffs...but I thought if UM isn't any good the B1G sucks outside of OSU..
