Yeah, okay. Why don't they come? I'll tell ya, it's not Iowa anymore. We need to bring it back and I'd give Tom one year. If he can't get studs to come wrestle at Iowa next year he's gotta go.

Didn’t you read what spoons posted above? Hoagie is bringing pastrami and Swiss on rye and the hole at 133 will sooooon be filled as well.

Out of the 2 tidbits Spoons posted, I will be optimistic about the 133. Not feeling too optimistic about Hoagie, but hope I'm wrong. Also doesn't really make sense that Hayden would want to come with him, why would he want to sit for 2 years behind Kemerer. He was a top 10 p4p guy and a likely 4 yr starter and multi AA at NC St. I won't be holding my breath on that one, but would be great if it ever comes to fruition.
Just letting you know what I HEARD guys. It's not facts just what I heard. I sure hope it's true. The person that told me is right about 60% of the time. But he also didn't think Teasdale was going to flip. Honestly we won't know till Saturday or Sunday. Keeping my fingers crossed.
IF we don't get Hidlay I don't know what else they can do to get recruits to Iowa City. Ryan has/is working REALLY, REALLY hard. If people REALLY knew how much work he puts in to keep getting out bid you would throw up! Ryan is NOT the one that told me about Hidlay. I don't like to "bother" Ryan with stuff like that...
If true that the staff can't work any harder, then something has to change. If the Hawks aren't able to get a fair share of top recruits to be competitive for a national title, the only choices are to accept being second tier or to do something differently.
Hopefully this is a moot point and good news is around the corner.
I still say that our ability to win a national title given our recent recruiting success will be determined by this year and next year's class. Heavyweight was a big need for this year and we nailed it. As I've said previously, I also think Nelson is under ranked per where I see him in College. If we can fill our holes next year with what we have in the room already, I believe we can win it all. If we don't fill the holes between this year and next year, then I agree that we will remain a top tier team, but will not win a national tile. We have the line-up now that is need of two more studs and then we are in the game. Again, our staff had it going at 133, with Gross and then adjusted to get Teasdale, but now have to adjust again. Gross hurt us, but at least we had some time to adapt, Teasdale backing out on his commitment was a killer and left our staff scrambling. Let's hope they can fill that hole and soon!

I don't think a lot of people saw the Teasdale flip coming. Heck, he was hanging out with our guys in the hotel during Nationals the night before the flip. And it appeared he was having f** and fit in with our guys.
I said this a week or two ago, and I will say it again..Iowa is in good shape with Hidlay..
Hard to tell but probably 50-50 if he will have to move up a weight. He’s tall and will wrestle 160 this year.

Nope, didn't forget. That was last year and I'm less concerned with the class ranking and more concerned the Hawks fill the right weights at the right time with the right wrestlers. It has to be a consistent effort.

You always have to consider the source. Which, to his credit, the source in this case is being pretty open about where it comes from and the validity.

Trent would likely compete with Wilcke his RS FR and Wilckes RS SR year for the spot at 184. Unless Wilcke can't make it down by then and wrestles off Warner. So 3/4 Yr Starter, and if he's as talented as we hope 4 year starter.
Hayden I'm assuming will wrestle this year for NC St. regardless, would likely sit behind Kemerer in 2019 and 2020. And then possibly compete with Nelson for 157 in 2021, unless Nelson can no longer make 157 by then and is a 165.
Makes far more sense for Trent than Hayden. Most Top 10 p4p guys don't like to sit for 2 years on the bench unless they are at PSU.
Yeah, really banking on Trent! Hayden seems pretty happy at No State according to twitter, but obviously not all can be judged by that...

Before I say anything about recruiting I want to say I am not in the know, nor do I profess to know anyone in Pennsylvania that "might" be in the know. But my dad did recently moved to the Twin Cities area.
With that said, I have nothing to add at this point, but reserve the right to add a rumor or two in the future.
