Would not bother me a bit. ISU would not face him and he would get to beat Fran twice a year. But I cannot see it happening at all.

I would be shocked if Fred returns to the college game. It is no secret he hates recruiting.

I could see Nebraska throwing a lot of money at him and totally embarrassing itself in the process, as usual for Nebraska. But he's a smart guy. He won't bite.
He will go to UCLA if anywhere. Huge history, ton of money and a soft conference he could dominate quickly.
Ah Shaka.... was he not the ‘flavor of the month’ not too long ago and a can’t miss hire? How’s that working out.
This has always been Nebby’s problem. They think they can just throw a ton of money at something and end up dominating a sport the way they have with women’s volleyball and bowling, but it just doesn’t work that way with the higher profile sports.

Whether it’s Hoiberg or not, I’m ready for a change. I think we’ve seen all we’re going to see out of Miles. I like the run at the end of the season...but I just have to sick back and laugh. Where was that hustle during the B1G season? Man, the inconsistency with Tim’s teams is so frustrating.

I think he’d do well, but the transfer market is a lot more picked over now. I’d be curious what level of success he could have. Elite offensive mind though and that takes you some of the way.

Miles is a good guy and a good coach. I just hope he gets out of Lincoln before the fans and the administration drag him down to much..

What are you seeing that I’m not? (Genuine question and not trolling. I’ve actually had a lot of fun watching Iowa this year.) Coaching only. Anyone can put a smile on for the media and their Twitter acct.
Are fans frustrated? Sure. But we’re not alone. Seems like Iowa fans are ready to run Fran out of town and you’ve been ranked most of the year, and in the tourney again.
I’m not asking to be Duke here. Just a little consistency would be nice.

Hire assistants that recruit. Nebraska's bb tradition sucks but the facilities are top notch, great fan support, play in the B1G, and game atmosphere is awesome.
Some 'reports' say Nebraska is making Fred the front runner ... That does not mean there is any mutual interest on Fred's part.
Hoiberg would be a home run hire for Nebraska. I used to cover Hoiberg back in the day when he was a player at ISU. Just a soft-spoken unassuming person. He's a genuine person and on the "people front" you won't find a better person. He's a good coach who continues to learn and surround himself with solid assistants.
I would take Fred in Iowa City any day of the week. Nebraska could be intriguing as there would not be much pressure to win; Fred wouldn't be coaching in the Big 12 and have to face ISU; and it's in the Midwest.

I'd be fine with it and would, frankly, enjoy watching some ISU fans meltdown. As I've said before, I love a good meltdown.

I believe that the Bulls still owe him 25million by the end of next year if he doesn’t take another job. I would think that means another “pro coaching job”. My god why not take a couple years off and enjoy your 25mil. Instead he’s going to Nebraska? Yuk
