How's Keegan Doing?

Sac needs to dump about 4/5 contracts of dead weight… good news is most of those guys are FA at the conclusion.

Let Barnes walk and give him a hellva send off. He has earned it.

No more Rookie duties! Nice finish for him and the experience(s) he has gained. Confidence on the rise and he knows what he can do and ways he can improve. If Monte and Mike add some important pieces this off-season, they might be looking at advancing to at least the 2nd round.

A lot of games to watch, but I really enjoyed it all.

There are 82 games in an NBA regular season.

Keegan started 78 of the 80 regular season games he played in. He averaged 12.2 points and 4.6 rebounds.

His shooting for the regular season:

148-281 (53%) from 2 point range
206-501 (41%) from 3
...........................................................
354-782 (45%) Overall shooting

62-81 (77%) FTs

976 total points scored

Keegan Murray's brief but impactful time in the NBA has seen him break multiple records and do things no other former Iowa star has done in the professional ranks -- and he added one more record-breaking accomplishment to that list on Monday, becoming the first Iowa player to earn NBA All-Rookie team honors.

Murray became the highest-drafted former Hawkeye ever when he was selected fourth overall by the Sacramento Kings in the NBA Draft last summer. He followed that up by having a superb rookie season, a campaign in which he set an NBA rookie record for most three-pointers made.

He shattered the previous rookie record for made three-pointers (187 by Donovan Mitchell in 2017-18) and finished his rookie season with 206 made 3-pointers on 501 attempts, good for 41% shooting from beyond the arc on the year. His 206 made 3s ranked 15th in the NBA and his 41.1% shooting rate from deep was good for 21st best in the NBA. Overall, Murray played in 80 of 82 regular season games, playing 29.8 minutes per contest and averaging 12.2 ppg, 4.6 rpg, and 1.2 apg, while shooting 45.3% from the field and 41.1% from 3-point range.

Kings Lakers would have been more interesting.

Lebron managed to wait the warriors dynasty out.
How so? Kings not as good as Warriors. This was proven.

Warriors showed how ancient they are. At no point this season were they built to win a title. Really, they weren't all that great last season. Just were able to pull it together and be their best at the end.

Warriors pretty much a one man team right now. Klay is one of my favorite players of all-time. But man he looks old and really sucks to be honest. Dre never could score. Wiggins can't be counted on. And Poole is a complete air-head joke. The Kuminga dart should have at least been thrown at the board to see if it stuck.

Great run by Golden but everyone gets old. Conversely, the Kings are just too young. Golden St. beat them on pure experience. Made good money on GS that series and LA this series. Nothing too surprising, if you ask me.

Good young core for the Kings though and probably more good years ahead. Hell of a season by Keegan. He literally gets better every time he takes the court and it's a blast watching him develop. Very proud to have him representing the state

Yep. Kings had multiple chances to finish the Warriors off and couldn’t do it. Then they let Curry beat them all by himself in game 7. Warriors are shot. Steph still great, rest of that team not so much. LeBron is absolutely amazing at his age. Davis great and Laker role players stepped up and Warriors did not. Still think the Nuggets will win in 6 or 7 games.

Transitive property doesn't apply in sports.

I think the Kings give the Lakers a better series. Just my opinion, better size, talent and athleticism just matches up better. Brown got outcoached in game 7.

Hated having to root for Lebron but nice to see the Warriors be done. They were such an annoying team.

Agree with Matt. The Kings have a lot of guys who can score, so it might be harder for Keegan to average 18-20 a game. It's quite possible he can, if he gets more touches and becomes more consistent with his drives and finishing strong at the rim. Also, if he can stay at 40% from 3, that will help scoring as well as the spacing for others.

The odds of the King winning the NBA championship is +2500.

So, when you put down $10,000, you will collect $260,000 ($250,000 plus your $10,000 back).

Wonder how this will impact Keegan’s role?

EuroLeague Most Valuable Player Sasha Vezenkov -- a sharpshooting 6-foot-9 forward for Olympiacos in Greece -- has agreed on a three-year, $20 million contract to join the Sacramento Kings, ...

Vezenkov is expected to play a formidable role with the emerging Western Conference-contending Kings.
