They wanted to see him be the man vs just a spot up shooter. And he’s super coachable and actually took that advice and went out and kicked ass. Zero wrong with any of this. And it’s only a few games. Why he’s going to be a 8-10 year pro.
By seizing on this opportunity to work on his game and shine in summer league, he's making a statement that he's not about to lay back and let the EuroLeague MVP come waltzing in and take away any of his minutes next year.
A lot of talk last year about Murray being too passive and Brown wanting him to assert himself. Hopefully this is all about prepping him for year 2 in the league and dominating in Sac town

There was a window there that was clearly not maximized.
Not only minutes, but money. Note the Oct 31 deadline for the Kings to opt in for 2024-2025.

I still think Fox and Sabonis are options 1 and 2 but as you saw in the video above, Keegan scored 17 or 19 straight in a scrimmage recently and one of the Kings scouts compared Keegan’s 2nd-year leap to that of Kawhi Leonard.
Kawhi will be entering his 13th season this fall.

Looked noticeably beefier. If Keegan can model his game after Leonard, Sacramento could be in for something. I would imagine het gets a few more games and then shut down till the fall.
And also work on being more vocal on the court and instructing the youngsters. He did the pre-game speech to the players. Also said that he wanted to get outside his "Comfort Zone" as well.

The kid from Xavier who signed a 4 yr deal with Kings as a 2nd round pick looked good also.
If the euro guy the Kings signed is as good as advertised they will be loaded.

If he continues on this upward trajectory, the next two club options are peanuts in todays NBA. The Kings are reaping the rewards for drafting him. There is no reason not to think his contract after that will be north of 25 million. Maybe more, depending on if the Kings allow him to be more of a priority on the offensive end.

I read the Kings want him to work on certain aspects of his game, mainly his ball handling and dribble drive. In the game he scored 41, he also had 6 TO's. However if he 13-15 FT's, that suggests (to me) that he was working on that aspect.
He was basically a catch and shoot guy this year and he was good at it. To truly take a big step he’s doing exactly what he needs to do. Kudos to the Kings for having him do it and also for Keegan to be so coachable, which of course we knew he was.
