Even if Fred is able bring DEBRA into an era of success and prominence, I'm sure Iowa will handle business against them year in and year out. I do not foresee a drop off in Iowa Basketball going forward.
I don’t follow. Why would LSU have a say on whether Iowa shared the national title or not? It’s been ~60 years in football. Nebraska’s has been ~20 years.
LSU says NOT..
Hoiberg will put pressure on both IA State and Iowa for Iowa BB Kids. He will also hasten Fran's departure or force him to change how he recruits. With NE/IA st./Minn nearby moving along and upwards there will be pressure everywhere.
Except for it’s Lincoln. BlahI'd be jealous a little of Iowa if they had 5 National Championships, all the conference titles, award winners, and national recognition of having some of the best college football teams ever. Esp being it was a state very similar to Neb in terms of location, demographics, etc. I'd wonder why we couldn't have done that if Iowa had all that success.
Que the "you suck now....4-8...scoreboard...Debbie skirts...Lincoln sucks".
Good times ahead for Neb with Frost and Hoiberg! Can't wait! Oh plus Neb is going to announce a facilities upgrade similar to what Clemson did. Lots of good stuff happening in Lincoln.

Not to mention that Fred rarely targets the same players Fran does. During his time in Ames, I believe he maybe offered two or three in state kids that Fran offered and did not land any of them.No he wont. He didnt even recruit Iowa kids to Iowa State. He won largely with a number of transfers. Kudos to him though because he won more tournament games in his 5 years at Iowa State than we've seen at Iowa in 20 years.
Oh ok then...1958 is totally different then 1997...Same difference.
Uh, no.All Bullshit. Because in 1965 a Intregated Nebraska team lost to all white Alabama team in the 1966 Orange bowl for the National title..
Now what.
Oh ok then...1958 is totally different then 1997...

I know what the AP is, but you said the Writers and now it sounds like you’re trying to say the Writers isn’t the Writers.Your point was they didn’t win in the writers even though they won the writers, but you meant the AP?![]()
The AP is The associated press.which is the writers poll.

I don’t. I think you think the AP is also known as the writers. When in fact there is a writers poll and the AP isn’t made up of all writers.I know what the AP is, but you said the Writers and now it sounds like you’re trying to say the Writers isn’t the Writers.![]()

In Bahston they're called Huskahs.they used to be Nebbie. But since they are all a bunch of girls, they became Debbie.
lol, I'm sure you're never disappointed!I come to HR for all of my Nebraska news.
I really like your login id Hoosker Du. Is that a reference to the great band out of Minneapolis in the early 80's by chance?
Of course it is.Love the Minneapolis music scene. Husker Du, Replacements, Soul Asylum (to a degree), Jayhawks, Golden Smog - members of the Jayhawks, Wilco, Soul Asylum, Replacements, and Run Westy Run; Son Volt - 2 members were from Minneapolis and actually did their early practices and recording in both Minneapolis and St. Louis. And of course Bob Dylan being from Duluth. Prince was sort of an afterthought for me.

Iowa is recognized by the NCAA as being able to claim a national championship for 1958, thus your opinion is basically worthless."Iowa finished the 1958 regular season ranked #2 in the AP and Coaches Polls, behind 11–0 LSU, although both votes were taken before the bowl games. Iowa convincingly won the 1959 Rose Bowl, 38–12, setting or tying six Rose Bowl records. The Football Writers Association of America gave their national championship trophy, the Grantland Rice Trophy, to Iowa."
Grantland Rice Trophy = door stop or paperweight.
