Hoyburg to Debra Today

Omaha's infrastructure is in terrible shape. Des Moines metro is routinely mentioned in top 10 cities on the up & up. Iowa is sound financially, Nebraska is always in the red. Is what it is.

Considering we were just ranked #1 in Fiscal Rankings of all the states in 2018, and Iowa was ranked #29, you should probably consider dedicating some time to reading on occasion..

Additionally, Iowa was ranked the 9th worst infrastructure of the 50 states. Nebraska was 21st from the bottom.

Two swings, 2 misses..

Des Moines is 'meh.' I stayed there monthlyfor a few years, and the place
mostly bored me to tears.

LMAO!! Thanks for posting the exact same information that I posted on infrastructure...Iowa 9th worst, Nebraska 21st worst. You didn't help your argument much. You might want to read that article again..

Again, I'm pretty happy with the best Fiscal Health ranking in the nation too. But admittedly, we should be that high, with the property taxes we pay.

I'm a Nebraska hater with the best of 'em, but I'm even getting disgusted with these Debra threads.

Why should we care if Freddie goes to Lincoln?

I've never really cared for him. I mean seems like he recruits dudes who have a past or cant make it elsewhere ....if this seriously happens, I wish him nothing but failure...

...and nothing against you Harb...
I said the same thing about rooting hard for ISU to lose the first Friday night of the tourney-- after we had won our game that morning-- and was torched on here-- but I stand by my point: why should you care so much about ISU that you actively root against them? We won. Who cares what little brother does?

So in other words, you’re a liar. gbr

Hoosker Du - I had a chance to give a listen to your suggestions, OMG - outstanding; I really think I like all of them...

Lydia Loveless, Luna, Built to Spill, & Cherry Ghost in particular are now on my playlist; trust me.

Speaking of Cherry Ghost - name taken from a Wilco song - for our music buddy, BetterLuckNextTime (who was fortunate enough to discover a Wilco CD by happenstance); a few personal favorite tunes for you to consider...

Wilco - Impossible Germany; Box Full of Letters; Theologians (i.e. Cherry Ghost); Jesus, etc.; Can't Stand It
Uncle Tupelo - Chickamauga, The Long Cut - while I'm at, why not add a couple of Uncle Tupelo tunes!

Anybody who is getting annoyed with this thread being hijacked by OT music - understand this is a...

Hehe...I'm glad you like the songs. If you like Luna, check out "Galaxie 500" and "Dean and Britta." Dean Wareham is the singer and song writer of Galaxie 500, Luna, and Dean and Britta. Britta is the bass player for Luna. All are sort of dream pop bands.

I guarantee you will like Neko Case if you give all of her stuff a listen. She truly is exceptional. Romantica is another band out of Minneapolis, I believe, that you might like..
