KABOOOOOOOM!!!!!
Now, THAT'S what I'm talkin' 'bout!
Words can't express how much I appreciate this, Mr. Nicolls, and I'm sure I speak for every Hawk fan everywhere. Wow -- phenomenal generosity!
But more importantly, I agree 100% with your subsequent post talking about how we need all hands on deck. Of course, very few of us have your kind of financial resources. Still, if all of us pitch in a little bit, our pooled resources will add up to a huge amount. There's strength in numbers, and we have more of those than any fan base in college wrestling.
So let's keep it rolling! Not only to pool our resources, but to tell our friends and family and possibly get them energized enough to join the f***, invite businesses to get involved and raise funds in all manner of different legal ways! Let's storm the HWC banquet! Let's show up in droves for the HWC golf outings! Let's show up at Carver next season like never before! Let's give to this amazing grassroots effort to "build it, and they will come"!
I'm telling you, this movement among Iowa fans is unprecedented and astounding. A sleeping giant has awakened. We're realizing the immense power in the Iowa wrestling family. We're determined to put this program on our backs and will them back to the top of the heap. It's incredible.
Of course, the coaches and wrestlers will have plenty of work to do, but they thrive on the challenge. They just need a boost, and we're just the ones to give them that boost. And don't think for a second that recruits won't notice this kind of thing. Who wouldn't want to wrestle in front of this kind of a supportive fan base, knowing how much we have your back if you're a Hawk?
How appropriate that "Field of Dreams" was set in Iowa! I have no doubt that if we build it, they (lots more top 10 PFP recruits) will come. So let's build it, Hawk fans!!! AND let's get that HWC endowed, because it goes hand in hand with the Iowa program.
GO HAWKS!!!
