He can't do that. So no, that won't be happening. Been discussed in the other 12 DJ threads already.
Perhaps I missed why, but I'm pretty sure he can pull their scholarships. He can't do that. So no, that won't be happening. Been discussed in the other 12 DJ threads already.
That is no longer the case. A B1G / P5 player is guaranteed a scholarship for all 4 years (provided no academic, ethical, moral, team major violations, etc. malfeasance) if offered & accepts a scholarship upon his first year of college eligibility. That scenario pertains to Patrick but not Connor.
The only question pertaining to Patrick that I've seen raised is - can he voluntarily rescind his 4 year guarantee and stay with the team?
I can see where that would not be allowed as a lot of games could be played with that "loop hole" but haven't seen definitively answered via the internet searches I've conducted anyway.

I’m almost positive that just because it’s guaranteed to the player doesn’t mean that they can’t opt to give it up. Pretty sure that was what happened in the Doug McDermott/Grant Gibbs situationHere you go:

Agreed!Maybe, I don't know. Either way they should both stay on scholarship.
The guaranteed scholarship is a Big 10 rule. Creighton is irrelevant.I’m almost positive that just because it’s guaranteed to the player doesn’t mean that they can’t opt to give it up. Pretty sure that was what happened in the Doug McDermott/Grant Gibbs situation
I hadn’t seen that (obviously). Thanks for sharingThe guaranteed scholarship is a Big 10 rule. Creighton is irrelevant.

I love this board.
So many times it makes me feel like a genius even though I know its not even close to being true.
Why? With or without they have all the benefits outside of Tuition and room and board. Fran can easily cover the cost, while being NCAA compliant. Win.Maybe, I don't know. Either way they should both stay on scholarship.
Assuming he would want to come on Scholly would Fran pull scholly from Pat and Connor.
That would solve scholly issue for all to come back.
That does not apply to this situation. Doh!The guaranteed scholarship is a Big 10 rule. Creighton is irrelevant.
